no spark , electrical problem

I have not been able to find an direct solution to my problem anywhere on this site so here it goes.
First of all it's a 98 eclipse GS-T spyder.

We just did an engine swap and everything is back in place, however I do not get any spark what so ever. I tried putting a new coil pack in, no change. the cables are good (worked 4 days ago). It's getting power in to the coil pack as well. How many groundings are there? What could be my problem? CAS?

I did put new cams on, don't know if that would effect the cas?

Do you have:

Spark?
Timing?
Compression?
Gas?

One of those 4 things is why the car won't fire, start at the top of the list and work your way down.
 
It gets gas and compression. The engine was supposed to be timed when I bought it. (remanufactored) just put a new cas on it and it didn't change anything.

how do I check timing?

We figure it should be a electrical problem. Any idea how many grounds the car has?

It cranks fine but it just won't get any sparks. I drove the car the day before we did the engine swap so it shouldn't have anything to do with the sparkplugs or the sparkplugwires. I also tried with a new coil pack but nothing.

Update: the power to the coil pack is messed up. It's grounded when the engine is off and when ignition is on, it gets power. When I check it with a test light, the ecm clicks.. What do I do??
 
Im guessing either you missed a ground somwhere so the circuit isnt complete or your timing is off. The timing is all marked for you under the timing belt cover. You just need to make sure that all your marks are lined up. Another way to check it is with like dsmlink, or a good data logger.

Update: Use a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM) to check it that way you have an accurate reading and a dvom doesn't complete an outside circuit to cause an ecm click.
