I'm just getting my Evo III motor ready for startup, and I'm trying to prime the oil system. I am not seeing any oil coming from the squirters. I also pulled the small allen plug from the front of the motor, still nothing from there either. I don't know if the Oil gauge is working, since I only have the switch on the EIII OFH. I installed a B&M Oil cooler, did the BSE, etc. Any ideas? I already ran the car for about 20 sec but turned it off after not seeing any new oil in the head...:(

Any insight would be great!

Did you install the bse bearing that blocks the oil passage correctly? Your pump may be faulty, even with the bearing installed incorrect you should still see some oil to the head not much though. Another thing is the pick up tube could be dumping oil back into the pan if the gasket to the front cover is leaking.

I actually left the front balance shaft right in place. I removed the rear one but there was no bearing to install on that one. The rest of it looked pretty straight-forward. Gasket only went on one way, etc. I know the pump should be OK because the motor is used, and I'm sure nothing happened to it between Japan and here. I just don't know what else to do at this point
