Las Vegas,
Just curious what types of nitrous setups others are runing off the line to get the pig moving??

Setup:
95 Eagle Talon
Stock 2G automatic
Kiggly wiring, BM ractchet shifter
6765 journal T3 housing .83
Hughes Converter.
E85

Without the nitrous I can get it to about 2000 RPMs and its putting along till about 5000 RPMs.

We got the nitrous wired to DSMlink using the Fuel Pressure Sol output.

I have it turning on at 0 MPH and 1850 RPMs and 85% throtte, and shutting off at 35 mph or 6000 RPMs.

We didnt have many jets to try, we put in a .024 and .036 which is probably a really fat 50 shot.

Now I can get it up to about 3000 RPMs and it launches like a turtle instead of a sloth.

Im thinking of upping it to a good 60 shot or maybe even a 75.

Anybody else out there messing with E85 a Nitrous and have some jetting advice??

Its a WET kit.

I need to spool the turbo in order to get up on the stall.

In your first post you said you had dsmlink..Why dont you just turn antilag on? Also there should also be an option to tell your ecu thru link that its a 5spd..The auto ecu retards timing when your trying to brake boost..Did you check the timing when trying to stall, and make sure the ecu wasn't trying to retard the timing?

Burkgonzo, did you look at his first post it said stock auto tranny..Well plus the ratchet shifter..

35 shot should get you on the converter quick. What stall do you have?

They said I shouldnt have a problem getting to 5000-6000.

I tried the antilag, it doesnt work at all. It stalls higher without it on.

The car is using a 5 speed ECU.

I'd probably setup the nitrous to turn off at a certain boost pressure, but that's just me.

It might take a serious shot to leave on the converter. I've heard of auto cars using a 150 shot to spool.

Antilag doesn't work for you, that's kind of a shocker actually..I thought antilag worked great..

What rpm is your turbo spooling at? You said it's a dog till 5k..Maybe your problem is that your using a large turbo that is also journal bearing..Maybe switching to a bb turbo or just a smaller journal bearing turbo would help you out..
Or you can always up the nitrous, to get it to spool for launch...

I can stall mine upwards of 3k and basically be hitting boost when I launch..I havn't tried it in a while my cars been down, I'd have to wait till I get the turbo back in, to really tell you what I can get it to stall at..

Yes, I do not have a 16G, so it spools late. I dont need 300-400 RPMs of spool that a BB turbo would give me, I need 2000-3000 more RPM.

Well I upped the shot to 75hp, dropped the timing and its still a dog off the line. For sure much better but I dont think could do much better than a 2.0-1.9 60 ft.

I think Im gonna have to send the converter back and see if they can loosen it up.

You could switch to a 63 exhaust housing..That would wake it up..

Something isn't right, I know people on 2.0L's spooling GT42R's and GT45X's just fine. Not sure on their shot but I'm pretty sure they are 100+.

Here is an example of a friend running a 42R at the time on a 75 shot. He had to run it through the 60' just to get it to spool. Since then he upped the shot and turbo GT45X now.

Good information would be to PM Lucas English or Jeff Bush and ask what they are using for a shot and how they tune the launch. Both very helpful and full of information

I have heard of people stalling up on motor which would be low and spraying a lot right out of the hole like a 125 or 150. Are you spraying just to get it up on the converter, or spraying to get it up on the converter and out of the hole?

Based on the op, it looks like he's spraying out of the hole as well. & I agree, something is definitely not right.

This may be a long shot, but hows the turbine wheel looking? My old FP3575 was chewed up. You couldn't tell unless you removed the housing. The 75 shot would stall just fine, but she would still move like a dog out of the hole.

Its a brand new turbo and brand new setup. It spools pretty normal for the size, I have 20 psi by 5200rpms.

The nitrous is staying on till 6000 RPMs.

Gonna try some more nitrous and see what happens. I called Hughes because they promised me a free restall if it didnt work. He said they will see what they can do, which didnt sounds promising.

He is talking made trash about you on ls1tech. Saying how you talk shit and spent 25K+ and he only spent like 5K.

The converter guy ,Dave at Hughes said he believes he can build a smaller converter for a dsm..Might want to look into it..
