I replaced my steering rack this week because the old one was leaking.

After getting everything buttoned up and aligned the car feels fine under normal circumstances.

However, I tried taking a couple hard turns at 35-40MPH and suddenly the steering wheel shudders and pulls rapidly in the opposite direction. Scary.

I used dexcron 3 approved ATF and bled the system, could air be a possible cause still?

Give me your thoughts.

Check to make sure you bolted everything up correctly.

Could be bad/loose tie rod ends.

Did you have a shop align it or do it yourself?

Thanks for the reply soccerguy. Ill double check the tie rod ends. I did the rack myself but I had a shop align it. The alignment looks dead on.
