If you installed a new radiator you still might have bubbles in the system or air pockets if you will. I would also change the thermostat if you already haven't and try using a lower temp stat. What size fans are you running and how much air do they pull? Is your AC condensor filthy got the right mixture of anti freeze and water?

if you saw my stock radiator it was toast! and I got all the air bubbles out of the system. I guess im just gonna have to wait for the wether to cool down? I didnt get fluidyne becasue this one only cost me 90 bucks brand new and im gonna keep this over the winter and then get a fluidyne in the spring maybe or sooner. thanks guys appreciate it

how many fans do you have? i had this problem i was running a fmic with a stock radiator and i had a 12" slim and i hit temps about 212 and it was in the summer so i got a another 10" and it keeps it nice and low at a perfect 199-206

damn dude, 212? holy crap thats low!! in the winter I sit at 210 without a fmic, my fans are stock and I have a t3t4 I think it might be the heat from my turbo goin onto the radiator

if you took the heat shields off your turbo then PUT THEM BACK...if they don't fit then make some.

idle the car with the cap off the coolant line till the thermostat opens to ensure you got ALL the bubbles out.

Hotwire your fans to both kick on together and also run a manual switch to work in parallel.

goto www.vfaq.com to see directions on how to do so. I basically run both my fans on all the time in the summer to keep my temps anywhere from 192 to 203 in traffic. without the fans on I get upwards of 213 or more.

Drop in a bottle or two of watter wetter to increase the efficiency of the heat transfer.

yeah probably the turbo is heating up the raditaor/coolant temp sensor. i notice if i get on it for the next minute or less the coolant temps rise and then slowly drop. get a lwoer thermostat? or get another fan, or get rid of AC

I think you guys have some seriously hot running cars. Mine stays at a rock solid 85C(185F) in the summer while driving (even racing). If no air flowing over radiator for extended periods of time, I'll turn one of the fans on to keep the temp steady since the fans don't kick on until 100C (I try to avoid the bouncing between 85-100C while idling in grid). In traffice I never see it climb above 90C. In the winter, it continually swings back and forth between 80 and 85C.

My temps are also much lower. They NEVER get over 200. Almost always between, 180-190, even in traffic, and when driving hard. I have a IRC FMIC, on an oe radiator with a 13" SPAL fan, and one hole in the hood courtesy of a CarbonTrix scoop which definitaly helps evacuate all hot air.

1LE from the way your throwing around the metric system temps i'm assuming your from canada where its much much cooler then some areas down in the states. But I could be wrong.

My temperature problem is directly related to my cast tubular exhaust manifold and the removal of my stock heat shields with a HUGE FMIC blocking just about all air going to my radiator. I've since fabricated my own heat shield which has helped considerably and rewired the fans but during summer months my car even in stock form wouldn't go below 190degF

Putting those hood vents in makes a dramatic difference in venting hot air from the underhood area. It also allows for theives to have another fast access point to get to your hood latch and rip stuff off your car. I've already had the misfortunate occurance of cheap bastards cutting my bumper in half, stealing my FMIC, breaking the hood latch and stealing my BOV, upper IC pipes, FIPK, cutting various vacuum hoses and basically trashing my car.

USA, it's just that all my gauges are metric, so I've finally learned the metric system (they tried to teach it to me back in grade school, but it didn't work then ;) ).

Try to flush the system, get the coolant that you have to mix with water, dont get the 50/50 one, fill the whole bottle into your radiator, then top of to the top wioth water and replace your radiastor cap (like a blitz or greddy 1.3 bar), because those tend to go bad too sometimes.

Hi,

My car has the Greddy 24R FMIC, stock radiator and stock fans. Since I have the intercooler, I saw my water temp. going up from a constant 150 deg. F to a 165 deg. F. This was when the outside temp. was around the 80 degrees.
What to suggest is get a new radiator cap, flush your coolant and if necessary hook up both fans together or replace them with higher flowing ones.
Those guys that are running over the 200, what are your egt temps? I believe those #'s are to high.

Sven

yea thatswhat I thought my turbo was getting so damn hot it was puting heat on my radiator, im gonna go find some heat sheilds and I have 1 fan and its wired to a switch the other one wont fit with my turbo

If you can, run your car on E85 ethanol (if you have it in your area); that will bring your temps down a quite a bit. It will help power 5-6% or so and its about 108 octane; but it will hurt your mileage around 20-25%.

GET an all aluminum race radiator!

If you live where it doesnt get that cold, run more water / less antifreeze; water is supposed to be better for cooling.

Good luck. :thumb:
