What are you guys averaging for intake temps with FMIC's? I ran some log's on my car the other day and they were always in the 100's. Mostly around lik 103. Outside actual temps where in the mid 80's. Just curious would like to see your temps for comparison. :thumb: How much difference did you see from your SMIC?

i have the stock side mount on my 2g and it usually runs at like 103 with it being 80 degress outside. if im sitting there with the car running it can spike up to 130, but i think thats cause its not getting fresh air. i dont know what a front mount would do in that case.

Intake Temps (where they are measured on a stock car) will not change with a FMIC.

Exactly, the temp is measured before the turbo.

Thanks for the help! So theoretically if we all logged a run under the same conditions more then likely we would all be fairly close on intake temp?

not really, some people have really bad intake setups. They suck in hot air from the engine compartment. If you do it right you will get fresh air from the out side. The temp is measure right at the mass, so I would keep working on you intake until you can get it really close to outside temp.
