I swapped out my eprom ecu and 750's for a stock 99 GSX ecu and put my stock injectors back in. I'm converting my car back to stock to sell. After intalling the ecu and stock injectors the car cranks but won't start. Is a 99 GSX ecu compatible with a '95 GS-T ECU? I thought they were

found this searching

"97-99 use an inverted CAS signal, diffrent then the 95-96. With Dsmlink you either order the chip with it inverted, or click the 'Invert-CAS' option in Dsmlink. You also need to flip-flop some plug wires. Your buddy will also need to take the CAS out and rotate it 180% along with changing the plugs around."

"e will have to buy a 97-99 CAS sensor. The 95-96 use a CAS that is read off of the cam gear, while the 97-99 use a CAS that is driven by the intake cam on the transmission side of the engine(same location as the 1G's, but different part) or he would have to do a more complicated route and use the 1G CAS, kinda confusing because the car has the 95-96 sensor but the 97 ecu. Perhaps someone else can help on this. But basically it would be great for you and not as good for your friend, unless you pay him extra or w/e."

What does it mean by flipping the CAS 180 degree's? Is this the Cam Angle Sensor? How hard is this to do

ok, I might just look into buying another 95 turbo ecu and sell the 99 and cut my losses. As long as it's a 1995 turbo ecu does it matter whether it is AWD/FWD, auto/Manual, Eprom/non-eprom?

or will i run into similar problems with an auto/awd turbo ecu?
