New Exedy Clutch Slipping? 2 miles

Just turn the damn master arm to the left a few turns and try it... If you read all the posts in this thread and think about what there telling and asking you then answering them this could have been fixed by now..

How about this; I asked the question Literally less than 24 hours ago, i went to bed and woke up for work at 8am and worked till 7pm. I live in pittsburgh PA where the temp has dropped to under 20 degrees outside where my talon is residing. i haven't been able to go outside to check everything due to the fact that it is freezing.

And the reason why i was answering back to people is because id like more information in my downtime of not being able to work on it.

So if you feel the need to add useless comments, i sure as hell hope you take it somewhere else because i already know if i went outside and took a look at the suggestions offered to me i would've most likely found the culprit.

But thanks anyway for your your .02? :hellyeah:

But thank you to everyone who has given me very useful information just like every time i have a question =) love this site.

Not likely but make sure the axles are seated also.

The winner goes too ^^

My passenger side axle won't seat right in the trans.. i took the wheel off, took the upper control arm nut off and pushed the axle back in.. but as soon as i put the upper control arm on and tightened it down, put the wheel on. the axle doesn't sit flush.. you can still see the stubby shaft..

any advice?

You all aren't understanding. this "break" in period means nothing right now. I LITERALLY have 2 miles probably 1 mile on it. and boosting i mean i got like 3 pounds of boost in 2nd gear and shifted at 3k rpms. Now i can't get over 1.5k rpms without it slipping.

Check your axles, specifically the connection between the intermediate shaft and the driver side axle. If it is seperated, or if the passenger side axle popped out of the diff, it will cause these issues.

Otherwise, if you didn't resurface the flywheel or if you severely glazed the disk or are over disengaging the clutch due to too much rod adjustment towards the firewall.

Personally it sounds like an axle.

Edit, it looks like I missed your last post ROFL!, did you get the axle seated properly?

The drivers side seats properly..

But like stated in last post.. my passenger side one, just seems.. to short? it won't sit flush =/

well, follow logic, if it fit before the install it will fit afterwards, they do not magically change length.. start double checking all the fasteners and fittings of ball joints and such. I've had axles be hard to seat like this and its usually something not set in right. I use thebottom of my foot/shoe and kick the axles into the trans with a small amount of force (but easier than using your hand) untill you hear them click in or see them sit flush. then if it wont come through the hub enough to get a nut on it there's an issue with you're install procedure or something isn't bolted in tight

OP: Your question was answered two days ago^^^! Your clutch pedal is adjusted too tightly.

Just watch the video, warm up your car, and take some metric wrenches out there and lay upside down on your reclined seat. Tilt the wheel all the way up, and bring some Tums.

EDIT: Oh, I'm way behind here, but I thought you said the clutch slave won't push back by hand?

i adjusted it, and it was still slipping. the adjustment didn't matter because the axle wasn't spinning on passenger side.. it was popped out

Yeah, I get that now, and I saw your other thread about a rod knock. Sorry to hear that. If it matters now, the axle is just held in by a springy "C" clip.
