syclone said:DISCLAIMER: I'm in now way implying the cams had anything to do with this, but after I installed my 280 cams on my just rebuilt heads, I drove about 45 miles then I pulled a valve into 2 pieces the stem and the cup sepperated. they were stock valves.
needles to say what happens when the valve is loose in the cylinder bouncing around at 4,000 rpm, ruined my head, piston, cylinder wall, and broke one rocker.![]()
I will be using aftermarket valves upon my rebuild.![]()

wvturbo2 said:you put 280 cams on stock valve train? that sounds dumb in its self
JayRolla said:Yea yea I understand there is R&D. I bought a DSM for $1000 because it was cheap, so ill put my money in proven cheaper parts right. Thats whats great about a dsm, cheap way to go fast. Thats how I see these cars. I know everyones going to complain saying people like me are the reason we have these cheap parts and after awhile these companys will stop making good parts.
