So I have purchased a 16g from Godspeed project. During my install I noticed that there is no fitting on the intake side of the turbo that I can install my AEM Tru Boost to. So I need to know if I can tap the "J" pipe near the turbo inlet, or do I need to drill out the turbo intake. I would much rather tap the "J" pipe near the inlet. Please help.

Now i do have a Godspeed Project FMIC that does have the pipe below the "J" pipe fitted with a brass fitting, will this work so I do not have to tap the "J" pipe? And after installing the AEM tru boost, am i going to throw a check engine light because I replaced the stock wastegate pressure sylinoid (sp?)

Yeah i know that godspeed turbos have a bad rap, and I think I will up grade when I find another evo 3 16g that I can afford. Even if its used.

hows that turbo going for you? I have one that came in my car when I bought it but it was totally f##ked up. Im still undecided if i should buy the rebuild kit for it or stick to my lil 14b.

I would highly advise against putting the turbo back on the car. Stick with the 14b untill you can pick up a true mhi 16g of some sort.

If you have it professionally balanced after you rebuild it you should be fine. I've actually researched GodSpeed turbos and that's the #1 reason they fail out of the box - people that took the time to have them balanced first had no problems :thumb:
