Need new ofh but need some clarification

I had just put a new timing belt on my car and decided to check my fluids while working and noticed some oil in my coolant but no coolant in the oil. I always think worse case and immediately thought head gasket but that doesn't seem right because there's no coolant in the oil but then I thought maybe it could be the oil cooler. I have been doing some research before posting this and some who have had the same symptoms as me were figuring out it was their ofh oil cooler. What I need clarified is if you can put the ff ofh from a mighty max on our cars and what effects you get without the oil cooler. Can you use your oil pressure sensor?

Do a compression test and leak down test to eliminate it being a bad headgasket.

Running an oil filter housing without it being cooled with water or air is a personal choice imo. There is a thread about this but some say that unless you are autocrossing it isnt needed. However how can keeping your oil cooled be a bad thing? Personally I will run an air b&m oil cooler with an evo 9 ofh.
I can not tell you what sensors are available on a mighty max ofh. However I do think there is a thread about that too.
If you are fine with not running an oil cooler check out ffwd oil filter housing. They run it in their drag car and its pretty cheap.

Second, the original Mighty Max/Dodge D50 OFH has a port for a single sensor, be that your oil pressure sensor for the dummy light or sender for the gauge. They came only with the dummy light sensor, not a gauge. Where you buy your housing from or what machine skills you have will determine whether you can adapt both sensors to the housing. Here is one place where it is ready to accept both the sensor and sending unit: Triple F Brackets - DSM/EVO. Note that this is about twice the price of an original, unmodified housing (see: Filter housings : JNZ Tuning). Whether that additional port is worth it is completely up to you.
