need help please

Well my 97 GST has been having issues lately. She idles fine, bit jerky at cold take offs, but runs fine after warm up in a few minutes. I been noticing more and more lately that usually after harder accelerations, that theirs white smoke pouring out of my exhaust and it smells like burning oil (or a really rich burning smell). What is causing this? what can i check? I am going today to redo my vacuum lines because i know i have a slight leak on the line coming off the turbo. Please help me with this problem....

check your turbo for shaft play. also your oil lines leading to your turbo

White smoke usually indicates coolant burning which is a head gasket issue. Are you ever low on coolant? Check compression on all 4 cylinders.

well just got done driving my car for a long distance, which i probably shouldnt be, and noticed the smoke coming out of the exhaust is blueish-white which we all know is usually oil burning. i checked the oil and it was a quart and a quarter low. coolant seems fine. ill check the shaft play tomorrow, but im almost positive the oil seals went because when i did my clutch job i remember seeing oil in the IC pipes and tracked it down to the turbo cold output side. Ill keep looking around the engine bay to make sure theirs not another issue.

Well its official, my turbo is almost certainly dead. Shes quite a bit of shaft play in all directions and oil on the turbines.....evo3 16g here i come
