Hey guys, I need some help with a rust issue on my car right now. It's gotten VERY bad, but honestly, it's fixable. Basically, I'm looking for somebody who can weld in a new sheet of metal directly where the rust is. I was planning to take this to a body shop, but I am getting quoted at almost $2,000 for the job. Well, I don't know if you guys have gone to school and worked at the same time, but $2K is alot of money I can't afford. Now I will also have the new piece of metal ready for welding, and I can cut out the existing rust myself using a dremel. It's just the welding part I'm stuck with..

Here it is: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d162/blitzeclips/PICT0045.jpg

If you have done this before or can do it, I'd be willing to pay you and supply beer, food, etc... I need it done before the strut pops through the hood and it becomes undrivable.

The motor will not need to be pulled, just a heat blanket and popping the wheel off should set-up enough for a good work zone.

I am willing to travel far enough where gas doesn't exceed $100. It shouldn't take more then a day or two. I know some of you guys can do this stuff blindfolded, so I figured I give it a shot before I bend over for the body shop.. Later fellas..

I'd do it if you pulled the motor, so i can get into the engine bay. And i'll do the cutting even, I'm a welder and very picky at what i weld on. I don't like any corrosion in my way, it makes a very shitty weld. But I'm in Maine, and Delaware is a ways away.
