2G Need advice on turbo selection for 2.3L

I think you summed it up pretty well. What makes it difficult is that they are all great turbos. I probably could reach my goals on any one of them. I think I am going to go the hx52 route. I have to keep reminding myself that its not like they are welded on . I can change it if I am not satisfied.

I would still like to know what housing comes on a new hx52?

hx5* series 17cm^2 . . . fairly large, but in scale with this turbo.

I don't know about the other hx5* series turbo's but every hx52 I have seen has a 16cm T4 not a 17cm

Well the decision has been made. I bought a brand new hx-52 this morning. I paid $850 shipped for it. From what I have seen that is a fair price for a new one.

So now, I should just be able to get a divided t4 manifold with a couple new tial wgs, widen the bolt holes and it will be ready for the new motor? Of course that doesnt include oil lines and such.

Great turbo selection but $850 is not a good price for a new HX52 but they are hard to get and that's better than the other options out there.

The other prices I found for new ones were $900 and up plus about $50 in shipping.
Also, like you said, they are a little more difficult to come by. It also has a 30 return so if I come by something much cheaper I will return it. I just dont think I will see it new for much less. But I remember reading that you got your's for cheap.
