it only does this once in a great while to me but it did it today and i almost hit a car. ill turn my wheel and my wheel wont turn all the way. itll just stop. when i finally get it straight my belt squeels for a quick sec then its normal. power steering goin or what?

Power steering pump or one of your strut mounts on the front is seizing and causing strain to the power steering.

Make sure none of the lines are leaking and the reservoir is full then replace. Make sure belts are tight also.

You're describing a slipping belt. The screech, is the sound of the belt beginning to gain traction again after the pump stalls. Make sure the belt is tight and good, and that nothing is leaking onto it.

alright so it was deffinatly the pump. i found a cheap one on craigslist from someone and replaced it and it seems finefor now. im gonna replace the belt to ### its makin alot of noise. im gonna drive around for a few days and ill let you know what happens with it
