Okay so I'm on a mission to pull out 300 horsepower and still have a reliable daily driver, heres the setup so far.

1. Dsmlink v3 and Big Evo III 16g
2.hallman boost controller
3.Injen Intake
4.680cc injectors
5.afpr
6.255hp walbro
7.1g uncrushed bov
8.translab shift kit
9.ipt end clutch kit

Heres whats I plan on getting withing a week or two
1.srs exhaust system
2.wideband mxt-l
3.Fmic

Now heres my question what should I do to prepare my engine for all this stuff just keep everything like it is, or do the catch can method, I wanna make sure the engine remains in good shape at 300 hp any advice, anything I should adjust, clean up, or get rid of, recirculate, prep, ect??? also my goal is to have a monster off the line I really dont care about doing 180 mph I want a dominant 0-60 time

300whp easy with 16g just up boost till you reach 300whp on the dyno, and lean out the fuel a little you will be good. People forget it's not rocket science to add some horsepower to your car.

I'd say your headed in the right direction. 300 horse isn't going to blow your motor so no real need to touch it for the time being.

I seen things posted about recirculating the bov, rerouting things with a catch can Im actually thinking about getting a mini filter instead, also I seen some other stuff about blocking off the egr I dont know if any of that will make it run any better or keep the internals cleaner or from damage

The studs are supposed to be on the way the guy who sold them to me on here hasnt gotten back to me yet, I'm putting in a new permatorque gasket, just got a gates racing belt and shaft belt about to do all that too, man I wish I could afford some cams and a high torque converter but thats probably gonna be a lil while out

The only thing about removing the balance shaft is that you will notice more vibration and that might bother you while you are daily driving it. Personally, for 300 hp, i wouldn't do it.

The difference in vibration is minor compared to the risk/damage a snapped b-shaft belt will cause. Do a proper elimination using an oem stubby shaft and lose the fear of some tiny belt wrecking the motor when it goes.

Norcalgsx: Buy the Wideband if your planning on doing mods, you need to know what's going on or risk melting stuff. Slapping a fmic and exhaust won't hurt but going without a wideband can/will. Why decide between fmic, wideband, and exhaust when you should get all 3 :D

So I wanted to get the exhaust and the Fmic first Idk if I should then get the wideband or the wideband first

Buy your exhaust and wideband. Before you install the downpipe weld the bung on for the wideband and install them together.

Well I Got the exhaust and the wideband on the way should be here sometime next week :) I got to get a fmic and a downpipe and 264/272 cams and my build will be complete, I got the feeling this car is going to scream when Im done, anyone know of a good cheap intercooler with piping? I was looking at the punishment racing one its like $365 right now thats a little pricey im still trying to get a down pipe...

If you want, PM me and I can get you a good price on a VRSF FMIC kit with j-pipe.

264/264 or 272/272 would most likely give better results. Going with a cheaper fmic probably isn't going to fit with out a lot of cutting.

I agree! Do yourself a huge favor and time savor. Save your money and purchase a complete, reliable and trust worthy kit. One made for your car will save time and headaches compared to a cheap eBay or universal kit. The VRSF fmic kit has been real popular here and showed good results. As well as buschurs racing offers these as well as ETS.

High quality and low price rarely go together when your talking about intercoolers. Punishment and VRSF are about as "good and cheap" as it gets. And with a small frame turbo like a 16g, your still going to push the cooling capabilities of either one. Your setup would benefit from a nice FMIC more than aftermarket cams. The stock 2g cams will make over 300hp and won't hurt low-end torque and response.
