Ahhh, okay! Thanks for clarifying. I have the brass valve on the bottom and it looks like you do not. So, don't think I can mount that low. Thank you so much though for the info, I am sure others may find it very useful.
 
You're correct. I removed the brass valve and installed a allen head bung on the bottom that seats nearly flush with the bottom, I just unbolt the CC from the firewall to drain it.

One thing you may be able to do is to screw a low-profile elbow and hose barb into the drain port on the can, and then remote mount the drain somewhere underneath where it's accessible.
 
Thanks for the suggestion, Calan. I think where I have it mounted is okay. I am just waiting on the AN fittings to arrive so I can be 100% sure it won't hit the hood. I have it mounted on the 2-bolt holes above gofer's mounting location. If it hits my hood, I will probably use gofer's suggestion in regards to the plug. Will post pictures of course!
