Got a few problems yet to solve. It appears the o2 sensor is dead, so I'm going to check the wiring one more time before I order a new one. I'm going to rewire the alternator plug per turboglenn's method. The voltage wasn't as consistent as I would like. Going to remove a few more wires that I didn't think of before. In the next couple of days after I get some more miles on it I have to change a bunch of fluids. That's about it for now, I'm just happy it's running ok :D:D:D

100% better than oem. I have to say it again, this is by far the cleanest aftermarket build (even though the mods aren't too extensive) I've ever seen!

I'd pay more for this car used and modified than I would for it new.

Well im glad you got it together, really clean work, it took a while but it was worth it in the long haul. by the way where did you get the wiring covering?

Clean!!! At first I didn't see a throttle body because you can't any vacuum hoses, plugs, or throttle cable. Good job. Looks like a ton of wheel gap up front, do you think you've taken a good bit of weight out?

Thanks everyone, it's nice to be driving again :)

According to this page the curb weight for the car is 3157. I just weighed my car and it was 2980 w/o driver and 1/8 tank of gas, so figure about 3050 with a full tank. I thought I've taken out more weight than 100 lbs...

Can you elaborate on this? My voltage is not consistant either...

This is for my Saturn alternator.

How did you hide the throttle cable? I would definately like to know what you had to do with this.

I'm using a non-cruise throttle cable. It's just looped below the intake manifold. There's nothing holding it in place but I routed it so that it stays put pretty well.

awesome job dude. i loved every single page, and hopefully my car will look like that soon. One question, where did you put the MDP sensor? it plugs onto the top of the 2g intake manifold. without it, doesnt it throw the p1400 code?

Ya, I'd like to autox and drag race it a few times next season, maybe road course too if I can afford a track day. It's still pretty much a stock car so I'm really not expecting much performance from it.

Future mods will come slowly as I can afford them, but these are top priority:
ECMLink v3
MAP/IAT sensors
DG suspension
Other suspension mods
VEI gauges
Clutch setup
wbo2
Better brakes

It'll probably take me a couple years to collect all that stuff, but after that then I can make some powa! Basically, making more power is last on my list behind suspension and mods to make the car more reliable.

Yeah i agree, i have a ways to go dsmlink 3 for one, more fuel, fmic, and such not much its a street car. Plus its my learning platform for now.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I finished the car just in time for it to sit over winter :coy:

I'm also waiting on parts to come in stock to build front sway bar end links. They were supposed to be in by the end of November but it now got pushed back to late January. So my car won't be inspected until then anyway.

i kinda know how you feel. i bought my 97 gsx at the end of October, and now my project is sitting under a cover for the rest of winter :(..

i try to work on the car here and there, but its hard when its outside.
