About 2 week's ago I installed a ACT 2600 Clutch Kit and XACT StreeLite Flywheel. I bought everything from SBR.
This is what I got.
ACT 2600 Clutch Kit for 2g AWD
Stainless Braided Clutch Line
3 qt's BG Tranny Fluid
XACT StreetLite Flywheel
I got everything in the mail very quick. It as packaged very well also.
Anyway, on to the install. The whole pulling the tranny was VERY straight forward. Really easy. I didn't even use a manual, just because I am that good
. I used a full hydralic Lift at my work and used all Air Tool's. I had the tranny out in about 3 hours with many break's and goofing around.
I installed the Clutch Disc, PP, Flywheel in about 15 minutes along with a new TOB. I had the whole Tranny, T-Case up and bolted in about 1 hour. Then I went to lunch at 12. Came back and started to bolt everything up and install the new Stainless Braided Clutch Line. It's real easy when you have a bunch of Tranny Jack's and Straight Jack's to support everything when your doing it by yourself
I had the clutch bled and adjusted around 4pm that day. And time for the test drive around 4:30. Since I opted for atleast a 300mile break in. I just went around the block a couple times.
Around 327 miles I finally got to beat on it some. I did a coupl 45mph roll's to about 80mph just to see how it shift's. It shifts very cleanly and smooth. Not to hard of engagement.
Now it was time for a launch. I went to a side street by my work and was ready for my launch. Building about 4-6psi I dumped the clutch around 5700rpm. All I had to do was hold on. It launched so damn hard and fast it was insane. I messed around with different launching techniques also.
Now it was time for the track. I went to the track a week later to see what my 60ft's are. Only to be dissapointed. I still ran the same E/T with a lower trap speed. But my 60's are ALOT better.
I wen't to the track two day's later to try again. This night was better
I pulled my BEST ever 60'ft. I pulled a 1.734 60ft. I was very happy. I am still on my T-25 so my top end is just all maxed out. I am waiting for the day where I am not lazy to put on my 20g.
Anyway, overall I am happy with the ACT 2600 and Flywheel. Pedal Pressure is stiff. Of course due to the 2600lb Presure Plate. This car is daily drivin. But not for long. It will soon be my weekend car and will be seeing some 12-high 11 second passes very soon and will probally be sipping race gas more often.
That is my review: Have a good day
