...after 7000 miles. It was a ACT 6-puck that was 99.00 from SBR. My transmission I had thought broke the sunday before yesterday. Well i get around to actually taking my transmission off, and low and behold my act clutch was broke.
What happened was that the center section of the clutch(with the spindle's on it, that the input shaft goes into) broke off of the main part of the clutch which holds on the 6 pucks on it. The actual rivets broke(all of them) and the 2 sections seperated from eachother.
The clutch went through, one track day of 4-5 launchs, then pretty much normal driving of normal shifting, and WOT of course, but no beating the the clutch, or riding of the clutch.
I will post pics of the POS, after i get out of work, I am just letting everyone know my 6-puck experience from act. I wouldn't recommend there 6-puck to anyone.
Patrick
I am highly suprised and was wondering if anyone else had anything like this happen to there clutch after so little miles, and hardly any abuse at all.
