we thought about doing a key way but what if the key way rolls it would mess up the end of the crank shaft....

but i dont want the whole engine to be torn apart again to get the crank shaft out and over to the machine shop...

right now we think were going to alter the crank trigger kit so it can bolt it self to the crank sprocket using the 3 bolt holes that are there

STILL waiting on suspension and axles...... the engine bay has been re-painted and the interior was painted also.

other than that things have been on hold we have started wiring the car and putting the interior back in it....things have taken a little bit longer than expected but that is because the axles and sus have not arrived.

once we get the car should be put back toghter here very shortly..

That fuel pressure regulator looks so lonely!!!

And have you considered a steering wheel, or is stock gonna do it for ya?

A HUB and Quick Release will bring the steering wheel out, and makes it a little easier if you went with a fixed bucket seat!

Those are really crappy tires, man. WTF What are you thinking putting those on? You some kinda retard or something? Man you gotta put on some 18's with spinners or something. Christ, you don't have any idea what you are doing ROFL

Just getting the obligated jerk-off post out of the way for you. Looks nice and clean. I love after the paint's on because that usually means you are getting close. I, too, wonder about your choice for steering wheel. Did you get any weights on choices?

Im going to get a Spearco wheel and quick release hub...... but there are sooo many options and colors to chose it's hard to pick just one.

i hope its close the axles sire are taking a long time to get here..

Zero, I had the Sparco Ring steering wheel in Black Suede and I loved it. I sold it to pay off bills, but it had a very nice feel to it.

That MOMO wheel looks SEXXY!

I also say through some Bogart R/Ts on that thing!

I'll stick with my OEm wheel.

I know this is kind of off-topic, and I completely understand the concept behind buying aftermarket wheels, but are they really worth $250-$300? You also lose a safety feature that came with the car..

Just hoping for some insight. :thumb:

Usually under racing conditions, those safety features such as airbags become more of a hassle then helpful.

Interms of quality the wheels are definately worth that much.

That momo is defineatly on the hire side of price and quality, but there is a NRG wheel that I have that retails for 120, but is availble on the net for 80.

A quick release type wheel gives the driver more space to work with if he (or she) has a fixed position seat

Anyways I'm gonna throw this thread back to ZERO before it gets closed.

Yeah, what are you going to do if you built a fully built race car, and left the damn oem steering wheel in, you get in a wreck and the car catches on fire and you need to jump out quick... your not going to with the stock wheel... Same things that randy pointed out. This is a race car, not a car you drive home from work everyday... He has no interior and probably just one seat that does not recline.

Locked... again... until DSM-ZERO posts an update or someone had something relevant and on-topic to say.

Remember that we don't allow 4G63 bashing, just as we don't allow 420A bashing. Opinions are for the Hangout.

OK the crank shaft is done and back from the machine shop with an additional key way added. Since my motor was torn all apart "Again" and my trannie was just sitting there i had all the gears and shafts sent off for cryo treating. I also had some billet shift forks made too, but i have not got them yet.

Also my Tanabe suspension arrived and has been installed on the car already
All of my interior is back in the car and my racepack cluster has been mounted too. also one of my Spearco seats is in the car for fitting.

My drag rims have been ordered and are on there way should be 3-6 weeks on the rims. I went with Bogart Racing Wheels

I hope to have EVERYTHING done here asap BUT all of you know how it is

PLEASE on post stuff that is relevent to this thread PLEASE

PICS SOON i just need to re-size them!
