The only 2 sensors on the TB are IAC and TPS...
VelocitàPaola;151267672 said:Shadow, you're right. On the 420A there's only the IAC (idle air controller) and TPS (throttle position sensor). The IAC is a stepper-type actuator valve that controls air bypassing the throttle plate at idle. The TPS is a linear output sensor that tells the ECU at what percentage of open the throttle plate is currently.
Slippi, what you've circled is the IAC.
4G63s don't have an IAC per se. They have an ISC (idle speed controller) which does practically the same thing.
he really doesnt need one if its just a 1/4 mile car........ but u can just drill a little hole in the throttle plate if its absolutly necessary. actually witht he stock throttle body (assuming he was using one) u dont even need IAC........ theres engough air that gets passed the throttle plate in order for it to idle.

Very nice, I plan on staging my 420a but at 204k + miles i may need to think rebiuld FIRST! But madd props to you and everything that you may accomplish on this biuld

are you going to be running the factory timing belt? I thought you guys would have gone with a fuel cell.
, are you as excited as I am?

I may have missed it but why did they have to fab a valve cover? Cams too big to fit under the stock one? Or was it weight related?
