For the class i have to run a full exhaust w/mufflar that exits the rear of the vechical

What kind of muffler does it have to be? Can it be like a farter can style, or does it have to be like a real muffler (ie. Flowmaster, borla)?

There are these mufflers that look somewhat like OEM mufflers... but are straight through and come in 3" and more sizes... you could make something similar to the Thermal mufflers... but how it works out for your situation.
 
I feel like this whole thread is bench racing. There's no way you know what kind of times you will be running at all. Dyno numbers do not equate to track times. Simple as that. That's why you'll see 1200HP supraa running high 12's. Once you reach that level of HP, 400+ I'd say, it's about putting the traction to the ground and moving. Not only that, but driver skill is very important at this stage. You are finessing the motions at a much faster and accurate rate. It's not something you learn overnight.

Great point about the traction. Just look at the Honda and V8 guys. You can get mad power from Honda's but the problem is putting to the pavement. Same with the rear drive V8's. Knew a guy with a monster Camaro SS, but times were better in his 1g AWD.
 
So that Honda parked beside your car in the PFI pics, looks disgustingly fast. Now I am just as curious to see that thing when it is finished.
 
sorry guys i havent had any time to do anything i hvae been packing up to come home.

the only update i have is that it suspension i ordered has not come in yet sooo i ordered a set of Tanabe coilovers w/some stiff springs for now...
Will see how far i get on this set up.

other than that the car is being wired up and my drag rims are on there way. next im gonna upgrade the brake system.
 
what are your plans on for the brake system? Obviously your going to have the rear end converted to Disc (if not already) and lemme guess, 13" rotors, 4 piston Calipers?

There's a company that gets advertised that has some damn good prices on the brake kits here using Wilwood brakes. Very nice stuff!

Mad love to the guys building the car, My mentor used to build sand rails and yesterday i heard him say that he can tell who build their own sand rail in the dessert, i asked how?, he said, because if you go thru all the work , headeaches , cuts ,... etc, You dont go around criticizeing others vehicule's unless they bought it fixed up already . interesting . I started thinking the same way a couple of months ago,but today i asked myself :
So does that make somebody who goes out and "just buys" toys less of a car guy than one that builds it on his backyard? I dont think so , It just makes builders jelouse because we have to learn o lot of shit, then try it ,and redo it, because it didnt work or there were better ways to do so. Isnt life a bi*** !!.huh huh LOL :D :D
