my 16g need answers

ok so i have a 97 gst and i bought a 16g turbo and the 2g eclipse manifold and i have a greddy emanange ultimate engine management first if i buy delphi 760 injectors then how much boost can i put through my stock internals safely? and i know you can only put 16 psi on the stock injectors but could they handle more or is it not worth it to do that and how much of a difference do you think i will feel? and what kind of fuel pump should i use if i want 20-22 psi of boost?
 
other people have seen 500hp+ on stock blocks but safety in mind is 450hp you might be able to get away with out the head studs and mls gasket but you will always run the risk everyday of stretching or blowing the headgasket instead of doing the right work and driving with ease knowing your in the clear.

These cars don't have sissy honda motors in them, they're one of the strongest motors ever made, they can handle abuse. I know a VERY experienced DSMer who is pushing 700 to the wheels (breaks drivetrain stuff almost everytime he goes to the track) and he's still using the stock headgasket.

A mls headgasket is completely unnecessary unless you're running more than 40psi on a crappy tune.

OP, we're not trying to get you to do things the cheap and risky way, we're trying to get you to do things the right way, what we've said isn't risky, it's completely normal, 100%, it's been tried and tested for well over 10 years, don't worry about it and spend a bunch of money on things you don't need and will provide no performance benefit at all.

And for someone lifting their head at 15psi, the only way I see that happening is if the headstuds weren't tightened. This is just funny to hear actually LOL

a 13g is thee second smallest turbo for these cars. I wouldn't trust too much in what jefferycastgsx has to say if he thinks thats even close to possible.

if your running 201 in the quarter whats your 5th gear ratio?
at 201mph you need two parachutes on the back of your car and a roll cage which you don't have
not even brent nor john have 1700+hp
and in your profile you state you have a sleeper 16g

as many people have stated before. it seems to really all be in the tune. if you dont let your motor see detonation and slowly add things on and tune for it you should be fine. i was running on the stock headstuds and headgasket for over a year at anywhere from 25-30psi beating on it everyday. of course replaced with Mitsu MLS and ARPs, but regardless, the stock combo can do fine till 25psi very safely and never failed me. having a wideband and knock sensor light are key tho.

oh and the 16g's have been pushed far past 400hp. im hoping with my M10 nozzle, 100% meth, and 30psi ill be able to get beyond the 400 mark on some sort of dyno.

i LOL'ed at BulletShiftTSi btw. his 16g mod writeup is all over the place. oooh internet...and all the crazy people that use you.

LOL, love how you hit google to search times and prove him wrong over a joke, LOL

And yes it is in the tune. Im pushing 32psi on my 16g with a stock longblock. It has stock headstuds but does have a MLS HG. I have zero knock and it runs great. My next goal is maxing a 60lb/min hx40 on my stock longblock. Hoping for 550 dynojet whp. We will see what these motors can handle.
 
Stock head gasket and ARPs is the way to go. Been running that combo on the HX35 at 28psi for sometime now. My friend with a GT42 is running stock HG and ARPs on his car as well without issues.
