Mud Flaps ? Or no mud flaps. Thats the question.

Just an update,

These little things collect so much crap from hitting my paint.. i drove to class the other day and had to take my car out, and all you heard was salt nail these things.

Here is my random question for 1g owners that have flaps, and or have mounted flaps...were the bolt holes/lengths all just stock? I'm not above using little sheetmetal screws, but I'd rather drill out the flap and use stock bolt locations.

Just ordered some of the basic universals. Utah is sucking dick right now as mentioned in the previous page. The majority of I-15 in Utah county is covered in rocks, pot holes and trucks hauling dirt away. I think they will look good

I like the look of the OEM ones more however, it looks as if you can make ones that look/perform like these Rally Armor ones pretty easily out of just some stuff you could pick up from a local Home Depot. Perhaps I will try!

wow, nice and you guys are funny drooling over mudflaps.

Well, I went to a junkyard month ago. Needed the rear inner fender(splash guard) replace my broken rear bumper.

I snagged a bargin, found clear corners and my inner fender plastic with rear mudflaps attached to them. All for 9 bucks I just might pickup the front ones now maybe if they're still there.

If you want oem flaps look for the 1999 gs oz rally dsm, they come with them stock.

I got the urethane ones. I've been told by several people already that they flap a bit in the wind.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Rally Armor Flaps on a 1g? I am planning to get the universal $15 set and put them on my Talon before the end of my build. I love the way they look on the 2g's, and well, every other car too haha I actually had the OEM Eclipse mudflaps on mine but I thought they looked too skinnny :/

Since mine were the universal ## ones, I drilled small holes in them bolted them right to the factory mud flap spots (same as the pics above). For the rear, I had to use little aluminum spacers to get the flaps flush with the lip on the rear so it would hang flat. I'm working on getting photos. I've just been a bit busy.

When I raise the suspension back up in the winter, I'll dill a second set of holes so they hang a little lower. I used a 1/8" bit. It didn't really make a hole, more of a pierced spot to then thread the screw through.
