get some rally armor flaps and i can mod them to fit on your 2g! LOL

:dsm:

Sounds like a plan then. I'll ###### be there around 8, that works for me (since I can get some sausage biscuits from McDonalds LOL. Love those things... anyways, I'll look into those mud flaps, they look pretty sweet. :thumb:

I love Mud Flaps, but i get a lot of people asking why i have them (haters), but vr4's were really a rally car, so it goes well i think! looks good on the GSX for sure!

Hey Gofer, it says in your avatar you live in san diego but your car has colorado plates in the pics. Do you live in Cali or Colorado?

I grew up in Loveland, I see you live on the western slope so you might not even know where thats at?! All the weirdos live over there. LOL I'm stationed in San Diego thats why my location says that, my homes still in CO though. :)

The mudflaps are still holding up after 6 months...

Those rally armor mud flaps are dope, they really set the car off. I wouldnt mind a pair of those either. Theses mudflaps are really popular, from VW's to Subaru's to Evo's alot of people in the car scene got them. Im deffinitly picking up a pair when i get my funds right.

i bought these
Universal BASIC Mud flap
cost me about $25 shipped to my door... i installed them but i didnt like how the rears turned out so i took them off and i am just rockin the front ones.

since i have a talon the rear bumper is quite a bit different and i think thats what made me not like them becasue i really like them on Gofer's car

i assume the only difference besides $75 is the holes arent pre drilled and they dont come with the $5 in new bolt you will need.

Hmm...I'm about to sell my black GS. It has all 4 stock mud flaps on it. Glad I read this thread because I didn't know they were that rare. Guess I will pull them off and put them on the GSX. :hellyeah:

Thanks for the heads up guys.

actually the fronts bolted right up, I just needed longer bolts to account for the thickness of the flap. the rears I had to modify the splash shield a bit and use a bolt, nut, and washer... It took about 45 minutes to do the install and that included the trip to home depot right down the street from me.

:dsm:

You mind posting pics of the install? Maybe a view of the bolts themselves when installed on the mud flap?

So I pretty much loved mud flaps after this thread and have been keeping an eye out for a deal on them. Finally found a set on ebay for 50 bucks and nabbed them pretty quick.
Figured I'd throw up a couple pics of how they look.

I love em so far. And you really do realize how much crap is picked up by your wheels driving around with these.

:thumb: I'm glad you took some initiative and figured out how to do it, I keep getting PM's from members asking for install pics. I think its an easy enough install but I like to think it was my idea so I don't want every 2g with Rally Armors, thats why I haven't posted up install pics. Good job man, might remove that I <3 Cops sticker now to clean things up a bit?

Thanks for the love. Yea, idk how someone can't figure out how to put on mud flaps? I don't think many DSMs will pick up on the flaps. It's rare to see a modded dsm let alone one with rally armors. All my buddies with flaps are subbie guys so it's a change of pace.

And I just threw that sticker on a couple days ago. So far everyone loves it. Im taking off the hit it and quit it though. The center piece needs something on it or it looks to bare to me. Still trying to find something to stick with.

I'm thinking about buying the generic set for the 'ol Talon. I've given up on the Talon OEM units, and this solution seems to better suit wide (ish) wheels. Thanks again for some inspiration.

I've got a feeling that decal on your center piece is just going to get you pulled over for being a smart ass, atleast thats how I'd perceive that statement if I were CHP. You can hate on your STi buddies and not get bothered by CHP with this decal, it would look pretty good on your centerpiece too if you get the right color.

I have the dark pink one on my laptop that I use for tuning, I just don't have decals on my car or else I'd rock one.

Lando you should get Rally Armors on your 1g, it would look pretty tight with the wider wheels.

I was thinking about the stY sticker but don't wanna run into the douche subbie guy who will bust in a window. Maybe I'll grab one when I get fully tuned. Little bit of insurance.

I think it'll be hit or miss with cops. Some will get a laugh, some may pull me over. But still haven't been pulled over in the gsx yet so *knock on wood.

And Lando, mine were the universal kit too. All you had to do is drill holes. I like the universals more, more playing room for height.

Good to hear.

Mine will be here Wed. This thread inspired me to spend 25 bucks I should be putting towards the new clutch into rubber flaps. LOL
