Mud Flaps ? Or no mud flaps. Thats the question.

Well lately i been sick of driving around in pittsburgh with my lowered dsm.
My tires kick back EVERYTHING. and a piece of me dies inside everytime. haha. With that said. ive noticed the piece that connects to my side skirt has been gettin scratched and chippings of its paint are coming off.

These mud flaps would be for PROTECTION of my paint and STYLE.

I saw 'GOFER'S' post earlier today from a year ago, and i think his dsm pulls them off perfectly.

But honestly, Pittsburgh Roads (PennDot) suck. Horribly

And im sooooo sick of hearing my paint getting hit by crap.

I don't know why it would matter if its fwd or not for mud flaps. Either way if you have good tires your gonna kick up rocks and dirt. So let the haters hate if someone says anything.

DUDE!, Same here, i decided hell its 47 degrees in pittsburgh in middle of january, im taking my car out for a spin. AS SOON as i leave my street, little pebbles and salt that penndot puts down.

Im so sick of it, and during summer, when penndot is doing construction on our highways that doesnt need work done, the sticky rock/tar/crap sticks to my paint. They should be working on the back roads that i refuse to take due to the pot holes and crap on the roads.

Plus those mud flaps in Gofers picture are so sick looking.

My OEM mud flaps keep a lot of dirt from getting slung on my car. I've taken my car a little farther off road than I probably should have and they did their job.

I'm actually kind of bummed though. The OEM mud flaps are barely wide enough to cover the tread of a 245 tire. I want to go wider in the future.

I'll make a post of it when I do them on my car. I'm doing it before I put it back on the road. (canadian winter is way to harsh ). I hope it turns out good, but there isn't to much to a mud flap. I want to make slotted wheel wells also (mine were cut by the previous owner to prevent rubbing when lowered)

I've always wanted some that were a direct fit with same paint that looked like they belonged there. I would stay away from anything that was black or anything other than oem looking.

In the end it's your car do want you want to do it. IMO i don't dig the flaps, but if the roads at so bad that you need to protect your paint, than install them.
