Don't have a photo editor, so this may be difficult, but some are BAD to be missing and some don't matter much:

3rd picture, that's a mani-head stud that's missing. This can cause exhaust leaks. The oil you are seeing is coming down everything from the valve cover. You should probably replace the valve cover gasket and clean all that up.

1st pic, between the M and B, that is a mani-turbo bolt, also causing exhaust leaks. This will cause some boosting problems.

The other ones in the manifold that you can see are just cast into it and bottom out (not an actual hole going through to another opening) are just the spots where the heat shield bolts to the mani, I believe.

Hope this helps.

edit: i see you are missing another mani-head stud off to the right as well.

manifold "BOLTS". those should not be there. there should be studs and nuts. i would guess that that manifold has been removed before and the studs snapped off or lost and replaced with bolts. as long as the seal well...it should be ok. on the ones that are missing, there are probably studs that have been broken inside the head. easiest way to take them out. go to home depot and buy a black and decker screw/bolt remover kit. its like $10 for 5 sizes. get a drill bit that is about 2mm and drill about 2-3mm into the stud. then use the extractor, which threads in reverse. it will pull the stud right out. and get a tap and die wrench to turn the extractor.

get yourself some fresh bolts, studs and nuts from one of the DSM aftermarket sites. Looks like someone went in there and got lazy putting it all back together.

I just went through this a few months ago, so I can tell you it will be some work. Getting those studs out of the head can be tricky and you will probably brake a few more. To get the remainder out you can use a titanium drill bit set off eBay that turns left to drill a hole, then an extractor. If you break the extractor, you will want to get a dremel and a tugsten carbide cutting bit that looks like a spherical flower.

once they are all out, replace with new ones.

then replace those turbo bolts with new ones and use anti-sieze in the threads to ensure they come out again when you want them to.

If your valve cover is leaking oil, get a new gasket kit with the four spark plug rings and the half-moon cam plugs.

manifold "BOLTS".

Wow I didn't even see that. The head of the bolt on the far left looks big enough to be attached to a bolt that is much larger than the stock studs. I have no attention to detail. :)

thnx....u think where that stud is missin on the bottom middle it is broken? can it juss break while you are drving? and oil will come out? i seen i can get the studs at slowboy but i think i need a bolt around the turbo n exhaust mani like on the flange....where can i get them?

as far as the turbo-mani bolts you have to have all of them most of the time or else u will an exhaust leak. u can usually hear it if its leakin. if u dont wanna take your turbo off and put a stud in then i suggest your putting in a turbo bolt-get her goodintyte(be careful enough torque is enough, not sure what the tourqe specs are however u can find them on here easy.if you dont have a torque wrench then just get her good and tight-retorqe the bolt after one heat cycle cause the cast will expand. as far as the oil leak. it is probably the valve cover gasket, which in time always go bad or if some1 has takin it off then its gonna be bad probably. the cheap and make sure to get the set with the spark plug gromets.

as far as the head stud a bolt will work fine. be carfull of the aluminum head. not very forgiving as far as torque. just get her snug and like 1/8-1/4 turn

put some new studs in....seems to be leakin oil or smokin from bottom of the tubo? i drove around the block n it started to smell like oil burning. seemed to be under it...should i juss take it to shop? what do yall think? btw there seem not to be boost leak or creep.....it ran fine....

i like the middle front valvecover bolt :)

should probably helicoil that and put a new bolt in i doubt that phil head is the right size.

that was how it came when i got it (it ran fine too)...but the middle stud on the ex mani came out some how...but do u think i should take it to a shop n save time? i dont understand why oil smoke seems to be comin from under the tubo n round the gaskets i guess where the turbo is?

drive to my house and ill fix it up for you... i have all the parts laying around you need.

itll probably be cheaper in gas to drive it 400 miles then to pay some shop that doesnt know what they are doing to fix it :)

oil is still leakin from the circle on the turbo it seems like...is that common? turbo still good?
