I have tried to remove my 14b from my 1g exhaust manifold was looking to replace it but cant seem to get the bolts to break loose of the turbo any ideas on how i should do this.

Go buy a can or two of this, spray it 3x a day (morning/noon/night) for a week, then try loosening them.

If the manifold and turbo are still on the car I've always had good luck with spraying them down with PB Blaster and then using a breaker bar to loosen them up.

Im from canada and i have never seen that bottle before would wd40 do the same thing?

Its still on car but engine is not properly supported transmission is not in place so engine is kinda shaky.

Okay guys just got the pb blaster im gona soak it up now and tommorow and then give it a try and let you guys no how it worked.

WD-40 might work, but PB Blaster is far superior, I sprayed down my ex manifold for a few days and I did not break or strip any of the studs.

Gona head down to the local hardware store and try to find pb blaster ill let you guys know how it went .

You need a can of "penetrating oil". Another product is "liquid wrench". Just tell the hardware guy you have a rusted bolt that you need to get out. Spray it down for a week BEFORE trying to loosen it. People have broken off bolts in the turbine housing, not fun getting them out.

wd40, liquid wrench, are NOT on the same level as pb blaster. <3 PB blaster. If time isn't a concern, I would try to find it online.

Believe it or not, this product is better than PB Blaster:

It works about the same as PB, although it works faster....which for me makes it a better product. Sometimes I don't have a week to spray bolts down on a customer's car and allow the PB to work.

Keep in mind that often on turbo and manifold bolts, heat is what causes them to weld in place.....therefore, heat will be the only thing that will remove them.

that is true, however letting pb blaster soak for about 30 mins is good enough, as long as you have enough leverage to pry the bolts loose SLOWLY then you should be fine, i just did my 14b swap and didnt break a single bolt. pb blaster, rust buster, liquid wrench, they all work and they're all life savers =)

when you go to remove the bolts, put a ratchet on there with a socket and us a breaker bar (just a tube that can go over the ratchet) or just get a really big ratchet hehe. be careful and go slow you should be fine. :thumb:

Aerokroil is used in the industrial industry and is hard to find. Right on the can it says industrial use only not for retail sale but there is a website to order from KanoLabs.com the web site has an order form and requires a company name?? I made a friend that procurred a can or two for me.

Why do you think mechanics have hammers? There not for build garages! Put a box wrench on it and and give it a dozen or so quick taps with the hammer kind of like a poor mans impact. I use this method all the time just used it to break loose the fuel line to switch out my fuel pump, you know the line that everyone seems to end up breaking. Just make sure you hold the wrench on there square.:thumb:
