1G Missfire I hope, need a little help!

Well hello DSM members i was wondering if any of you could help me out with a little problem . i have been driving my 94 GSX for about a year and just ran into a little problem. i have a miss fire i hope but when i boost around 16psi and between 3 and 4 thousand rps i get a real loud back fire that pops like automatic gunfire so, it has an apexi n1 3 inch exhaust turbo back if that helps any. i would really appreciate any help thanks guys.

my friends cavalier did the same thing basically when we installed his thrush turbo muffler, his problem was that it was building back pressure from improper air flow and it actually blew a hole in the muffler (looked like someone shot it with a .22), the other thing would be a misfire like you said, change your plugs and plug wires and hopefully it will go away

Check for boost leaks. That would be your starting point.

i learnd a trick take a bill hold it to the muffler if it sucks it in you have a missfire

is it idling a little high too? if it is, check your throttle body and your IAT sensor. they may need to be cleaned. also, check your oil and MAF sensor. I had problems like that on my old galant. oil goes bad faster than you'd think when your run a car too hard, and those MAF sensors can cause all kinds of problems if they're getting clogged up.
