Mighty Max Oil Filter Help.

I bought a fully built motor from a guy on another forum with zero miles. it has a oil filter housing off a Mighty Max now my question is what else besides a filter do i need to run the filter housing? I will be staying AWD.

ok, so this would be strickly air cooled? would my o2 dudump that dumps right near the alternator cause issues?

It does not utilize an oil-to-air cooler so you are going to be cooling the oil from the air flowing past the oil pan. You o2 dump shouldn't be dumping onto anything in the bay and would be best to dump it closer to the ground, but it shouldn't affect the OFH.

Will that be safe? I mean i dont wnt to have to look for my oil filter in my rear view everytime i go over a bump in the road. and will the air supply enough cooling, or should i just expect high temps by a few degrees?

What makes you concerned the filter will come off? Hand tight is all it needs to stay an. Yes, there will be enough cooling for your oil. There are a few people on here running the FFFB.

i dont know i just want to be safe since i have a very limited income and have about a years worth of saving and lots of research etc into this motor was just making sure this wasnt only safe for drag racing.

You are fine with getting it. I was considering purchacing one because of my 3" exhaust but decided to just stick with what I have. What made you want one to begin with anyway?

I got one, no issues.
It only comes with 1 predrilled hole for your pressure sending unit.
The stock one has 2. One for the idiot light and one for pressure.
Ditch the idiot light, or see what you can do for tapping another hole.
If you are feeding your turbo from the OFH you will have to rig up something. To accomodate both

i didnt want one, it came with the motor when i bought it, so might aswell keep it. how would you guys reccommend drilling and tapping for a turbo feed line?

They sell one that is already tapped, just look at where they tapped it.

The correct port to use for a turbo feed would be the lower port -- if you are looking at the FFOFH as mounted on the engine, then you will be viewing the "E" without cocking your head one way or another; the lower port is the one directly down from the "E".

For those that couldn't tell, that is what FFWDConnection (link in above post) is showing. The additional side port that they added is for an oil pressure sensor only! That port is unfiltered oil.
