I need some help with my Mighty Max

So I'm 19yrs old and I've been fascinated with the modifications and power you can get out of these little Mighty Max trucks. I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Mighty Max with 88k miles on it and I was wondering how I get power out of it. It's a single over head cam 4g64 7 bolt I've got it all caught up the fluids and belts.

Now that I'm at a good starting point and have a good base what do I do to get 300whp out of this truck with it still being reliable or at least sort of reliable

There are many threads on the site about people swapping in a 4G63T or putting on a DOHC head on the 4G64 block and some turboing that. I don't think many have hit 300whp without forced induction.

Searching on Mighty Max or just 4G64 should give you plenty to start.
