I have a fully built Talon TSi from AMS. The problems that I am having I do not believe are related to the engine build at all, but feel free to correct me or put in any suggestions you may have.
1) After starting the car it idles at 2k. Ok so this is the car warming up. However, after it begins to warm up the idle gets all weird. The idle will raise and then drop, raise and then drop, raise and then drop and so on until it is warm then the idle settles between 800 & 1k. Yet, after the car has been driven for a while a similar problem begins to occure. When I stop at a light, it will idle at 1500 and the only way to drop the idle is to stab the throttle. This will proceed for a while and the it will do it at 2k and I have to stab the throttle to drop it to at least 1500 eventually the car will be idling at 2500 and is almost impossible to drop the idle.
-->From what I've read a possible diagnosis is that the little throttle positioning valve on my throttle body has gone bad and is getting stuck thus causing the throttle to be open.
2) This problem usually coincides with the weird idle but I believe is completely separate. After driving for a while the stock temperature gauge will climb to about the 1 or 2 O Clock position. I turn on the heat full blast and it is hotter than usual but turning the heat on helps.
-->My diagnosis for this was that the 3" thick 24" long 12" high FMIC was blocking a lot of the air. I cut the front bumper to allow more air to get through. This helped but the problem still persists; it just takes a little longer. Do you think adding another fan would help this or could my OEM gauge just stink. I've read the gauge on 1Gs can often give bad readings.
3) Lastly, after about 500 miles were put on the new engine I did my oil change and the next day or night as I went to get some food I hit the gas and the car had a lot less power and almost felt like it was stuttering. When I got it home with this problem persisting the check engine light finally came on. I datalogged it and it came back Error 41. I didn't have an error code chart on me but from what my friend and I could remember that had something to do with injectors.
-->The stock injectors are still on the car. (The car is in a stock tuning so I wouldn't hit fuel cut) I am planning on putting in 550cc injectors. Other than the injectors themselves what would you guys recommend?
Sorry for the lengthy post but thanks for the help
