Yeah you can't go wrong with an easily rusted mild steel overpriced piece of garbage that people just seem to buy because everyone else does.

Not to mention the section that should be straight is shaped more like the Colorado River

I for one thought it was interesting and worthwhile for people that own SS parts.

I agree that the tip is much too angled. But I have a solution: Take it to a shop and have them cut the muffler off and re-weld it at less of an angle. May have to get a small piece of mandrel bent SS tubing but that shouldn't hardly cost anything.

Also, I can't tell from your pics but is the muffler agled up like the N1? That was one of the things I really liked about it.

And any chance of a burnt tip like MR makes for the Evo?

It wont just connect to it, you will have to modify your thermal. Its like a 40 dollar fix at a local muffler shop.

as far as i know it fits. If someone locally wants to get a downpipe. Ill install it for them to make sure it fits properly. Our car has no motor in it otherwise id clarify this myself

ive been talking to a few people and apparently the downpipes have been messsed up as well. I guess there are something like 3 revisions. The downpipe i have looks different than the two ive seen pictures of. THe one thats pictured on megans site is screwed up with a reduced section at both ends of the pipe. The second revision is full 3in that doesnt bolt up to the stock o2. The third which is what i have bolts up to the stock o2 and is 3in out the back. I am not going to even attempt to sell these till i make sure that this issue is completely worked out.
The 1g exhausts as far as i know are ok and i have a 1g awd downpipe here. Before I place a big order has anyone used the T3 manifolds or have any feedback?

Ok, the one you have pictured seems like the new revised one. The one I have (the 1st revision?) has no sharp neck down at the o2 housing, it only has a *slight* one to get to 2.75". The only other issue was the hanger. Does this one fit right?

I dont have much of a preferance either. I DID like the exhaust i saw recently with the "stock" looking muffler. Adds to the sleeper effect.
All i care about is the performance and the price.
I want that 1g awd 3 inch exhaust.

to be honest with u i dont know if that hangar is useable. Looks like it. I just dont have an engine in this car to actually mount the thing. Every other downpipe i have used(and i have used three on this car). i never used that hangar. i use it to attach the ground strap too. Bolting to the 02 and the catback which has a ton of hangars was good enough for me. I took my downpipe off a lot for changing out turbos so it was actually benificial for me not to use it.

I wonder how much potential money Megan has lost due to holding this product back. I mean, I'm all about perfecting products so that they come out right, but give me a break. I was interested in buying a new exhaust when this thread came about and really wanted this product... this was almost 8! months ago.

I buckled down in Jan. and bought a Thermal R&D exhaust and absolutely LOVE it. It is, in my opinion, a work of stainless steel art. For those frustrated waiting for this product to never come around, take a look at thermal.

Sure is a sweet ass exhaust, huh? I was really suprised at how nice it really is when I opend up the box it came in. The tone of the exhaust is awesome too. Not too loud at all.

yes i also jumped off the megan train when i was waiting around for ever. i even asked them if i were to come down and pay for them to install and fabricate it to work with my car. they said no we dont do that so i went out and got a little tricked out apexi N1. works for me. yeah mikes thermal sounds really nice.

Who's O2 housing is this?

That is a Victory Performance O2 housing. THey make really nice o2s for all different setups at a competitive price. not sure if they are still around but i think the website was www.victoryperformance.com. I am going to make a jig up myself so we can make these in-house. In the meantime im going to try and see if i can get those again as it has been like 3 years now.

I looked at the Victory Performance site and they still are around and sell those o2s for 295$. I thought it was a little cheaper.

glenneclipsegsx, i went to your website and see you have a megan 3" test pipe listed. it says its only for a 1G. I thought they would all work for any DSM. Is there something different on the 1G so test pipes can't interchange with 2gs?
