megan awd downpipe match up to any catback?

after getting off the guy who sold me the catback (ebay brand) he said that the megan awd catback only bolts up with the megan catback and doesnt work with others. his exhaust doesnt match up at all, and none of the hangers work with it either, the middle one is even welded on the wrong side. the exhaust he gave me, the middle section (if downpipe is first and muffler part is third) is about 2 inches too short to match up. none of it really makes sense to me....so anyone running a megan awd downpipe and any other brand catback?

All of the Megan 1G 3" exhaust parts are made to work together and not with OEM fitment parts. The only piece that is made to fit with stock stuff is a test pipe they make.

2G stuff is a different story, the downpipe has a built in test pipe and will fit stock style stuff and the cat-back has an adaptor to fit stock or a 3" downpipe.

The downpipe is made to bolt to the 3" megan test pipe and the test pipe is made to bolt up to the 3" megan catback. So the answer to your question is yes.

but you just said the 2g is designed to bolt up to any stock fitting catback?

edit: and i think my ar is a cat delete DP....

Sorry I was referring to 1g stuff. The 2g megan catback comes with adaptors to go to stock OR megan 3".

The 2g megan downpipe is made to bolt to the stock exhaust so stock or stock style aftermarket will work.
