Being that Megan Racing is an up and coming name in performance, I was interested in everyones thoughts and opinions on their Guages. To those that are running them a review of their performance, function, accuracy and looks would be appreciated, but as always, all opinions are welcome.

i am highly thinking about getting these also as soon as somebody get's them can they post a review? Thanks alot.

My friend had the boost, it looks nice. But in day time it was hard to read. Night time i thought it looked good. I also liked the fact it was all black with the car off!

Hey 91 VR-4, when you say hard to see do you mean completely like eye hurting or maybe just dark? Also where does your friend have his located? I would have mine in a gauge pod on top of the hvac vents, i think with a gauge like this placement in the car might have a big roll on how well you can see it maybe?

I have their muffler and strut tower bars and theyre good quality for the price
I got them for. Im assuming the guages would be the same.

he has it on a gauge pod, its just was a little dark to see in day light.

Another question to those who have the oil pressure guage or know from someone who owns one; Is the guage mechanical or electric. From the price I would say that it would be mechanical, only because the sensor alone would have to cost more than the entire guage, but that's just my assumption. I'd much rather have first hand knowledge.

Pictures (installed) are always a big help too, in determining looks and quality. Still looking for a definitive answer as far as accuracy goes.

Thanks all,

Brew :talon:

Megan Racing gauges have a very nice design, and look good overall, especially when the sun is not too bright.

However because of the tinted glass, as soon as you get out in the sun it is difficult to read, I wish they make them with clear lense.

On another note, I have yet to try connecting dimmer wire to a main 12+ wire, that might make the LED brighter, who knows.

i just intalled my boost guage it was pretty strait forward now here are the problems, the gauge housieng is a bit long. about 1/2 and inch longer than auto meter guages, i have mind mounted in a cluster sourround and it sticks out about 1/4in,

however the guages are very nice. good built quality, looks very nice at night so im happy plus they are cheap as hell
