Okay, finally back on my feet from vacation (Disney, wallet says OUCH). Due to lack of funds and time I had parked my car for a couple months. Now it's time to get back to work :hellyeah:

Recently put on a turboback Megan Racing exhaust. It won't mate up to the O2 housing perfectly, there's a small gap in the back. At around 5k RPMs you can hear it whistle LOL.

We have tightened the bolts and re-tightened them, it just won't seal up. It looks like it is, but again, it whistles and in the morning you can see the exhaust coming from the hood--lift the hood--coming from behind the O2 housing/DP.

I found a thread a while ago when I was researching it about some people having the same issue. I can't find this thread again, and the only resolution was v-clamps. Which leads into my next issue, where can I find v-clamps to fit?

This kind of pisses me off because from what I read, this was a known issue on the older revisions of their exhaust but were suppose to fix it with there newest model...I purchased the newest model...:ohdamn:

Hurry and help so I can purchase the fix before something else comes up and needs my money!

Is the o2 housing warpped? Like if you were to take it off and look can you see if its not like its supposed to be? Have you tried disconnecting the o2 housing from the downpipe then mounting it to the hotside then to the dp? I dont have any experience with the megan exhaust systems but am kinda interested to see how this works out because Im gonna be buying a megan dp in about a month..

I never had any issues like that with my Megan Racing exhaust. Try bolting your downpipe to the O2 housing first and then bolting it to the rest of the exhaust.

The O2 housing is not warped at all. I originally tried connecting the DP to the O2 housing while it's on the hotside, I will try to reverse that as soon as I get a chance, although I don't think it will help since it appears the DP and O2 housing sit flush, it's not an issue of them not reaching or anything, it just seems it's the angle of the DP or the flange on the DP.

I know a lot of people have had this issue and simply just used v-clamps. Other than this issue, it's a beautiful exhaust, everything else fit perfectly. The only other complaint I had, is the exhaust tip hugs a little to the left.

I will be trying this, this weekend. It's so odd that most people don't have this issue but maybe 3 out of 10 people seems to have this issue. :hmm:

I really don't have the issue of it hitting the oil pan or the transfer case, sure it's a little close to the transfer case but not so close it's an issue.

The only issue I have is it sealing at the O2 housing, it looks like it mates perfectly, then after you tighten down the bolts you can feel a tiny gap in the back. I tried using my old stock O2 housing, same problem.

Wondering if I got a Megan O2 housing if it would fix the problem, would hate to do that though because the SS O2 housing I have is still pretty new. Plus if it didn't work would make me mad as well.

Like I said earlier though, I saw a thread awhile ago about people just using v-clamps which apparently is better all around anyways. Anyone have any info on using v-clamps or any other alternative I might have?

Sometimes using that permetex high temp orange will help seal a leak like this
