ok n00b question here.. i got my MBC all hooked up fine (dejon tool.. sweet!) i'm just wondering what to do with the stock boost solenoid hoses.. i took the top one completely off (this is the one that was going to my intake pipe.. then capped that nipple on the pipe) .. the one on the bottom, that tees off and goes to both the wastegate and the turbo housing, is still there. i just bent it backwards and stuck it in the bracket that the top hose was at.. its still connected to the solenoid though. is this alright? can i leave it on there like that will it screw anything up?

Hey I was wondering if you could tell me how to install my new MBC? Or if you know of a link post it please!

Also do I need to eliminate the stock bcs?

click on the turbo section and scroll down.
click on the proper link from there.
That site has been around forever and everybody that does a proper search should find it. A lot of useful info on there

hey all,
i recently bought a tubroxs MBC from my friend with all the hoses and stuff it comes with. im reading up on how to do it and all the MBC im seeing have 2 nipples to connect hoses too, mine dosent. it has one hose coming out the bottom, with a t fitting and 2 more hoses coming off the single hose. im way confussed to where the 2 hoses go. any ideas?
Ron

ok i understand that theroy. but heres the curveball.

My MBC only has one outlet. no its not broken in half, it only has one outlet, one tube running from the bottom of the MBC. i know that it worked in my friends WRX becuase i wacthed him put it in. but on mine i am having a bi*** of a time and my turbo isnt spooling safely, anyone that can help please do. i kinda have the idea of how it can work.

Idea-

from the boost control solonoid. tee the MBC into the line that is running from the BCS to the wastegate, leaving the other tube on the BCS going to the intake. any suggestions?

i dont know man.. I've never seen a single outlet MBC before. curious, what MBC are you using?

every DSM MBC i've seen eliminates the BCS.. i dont see why you would want to keep it. but good luck and if anything.. just get a hallman pro LOL

I already installed the Dejon Tool MBC on my car but I was told that I had it mounted incorrectly........ What i want to know is which hose goes to the wastegate actuator? As I have it now the bottom hose is connected there, the top "T"'s into the BOV line. TIA.

Howdy all, I just received my dejon mbc and just glanced at my engine bay and could only find one spot for it and htat's the bolt on the fan shroud but it's the middle bolt not the very lefthand side one. Anyways, just curious if you guys have any pictures of where you installed you're mbc on the 2g.

thanks

i'm at work so haven't had much time to look around to install it.

I found the MBC install for a 2g ( MBC Install) and was woundering if this is the best way to install the MBC. If not wut is and if any one has pictures that would be great not really sure withput pics.

Thanks,
Ryan

there are plenty of pictures and tutorials on installing an MBC.

for short:

connect the mani nipple to your BOV ... 'tee' that line and run it to the horizontal nipple of the MBC [ the one in-line with the knob ] ...

run a line from the bottom nipple [ perpindicular to the knob ] to the waste gate actuator.

unscrew the MBC almost all the way out and go to down tuning her... remember, do 2nd or 3rd gear pulls to tune.. 1st is worthless

Ive been running the ebay manuel boost controller for a couple weeks now and ive not been too happy with it. I didn't really notice any gains from it, and there is no real difference from when the screw is all the way in or all the way out.

Tonight I decided to do some road testing to see if there were any actual gains or losses by messing with the boost controller. So I grabbed my stop watch and found a long straight uphill. The hill is not terribly steep, but it gives the car a nice load to run through first and second gear to see what setting yeilded the best results.

I figured for a base run I would take the ball and spring out of the mbc, this would then set the turbo to the pressure of the wastegate, and I ran the car this way 3 times getting a best of 10 seconds flat from 0-60 (keep in mind this is up a pretty big hill and I have an automatic gsx) and all the other times were only a few hundreds to a tenth different. Now I went back and put the ball and spring back in only to run a 0-60 of 12 flat.

I then realized I had to be doing some thing wrong.

Sorry for the long posts but shit, my mbc is robbin me of hp, i dont know what the hell I did wrong as I followed the steps exactly. I T'ed off the bov line, I capped off the nipple to the housing and ran the line straight to the wastegate, could it be possible that i have the unit on back wards or sum thing? Any suggestions very much appreciated.

I think it's common knowledge to get a boost gauge installed before a MBC, do you have a boost gauge? If you don't , you are blindly raising the boost , and if you have a t25 odds are 15 psi wont feel much different then 17 so you might be hurting your motor, get a boost gauge :)
