i want room for a bigger turbo my goal is a hx35 but thats a while down the road and when ever i get enough money i will get v3 and a wideband i just wanted to no what the rods/pistons can take the most i ever want to see my boost gauge read is 25 at most but i would be happy with 20

im running 14b on my 2g ajdm motor 6bolt i have greddy intake fmic with piping 3inch turbo back
, i dont have a boost controller but my car hit 15psi insted of 10psi, any idea wht could it be,
i have the line runing from my wastgate to my intecooler pip.

My 2nd T-25 popped at 20+psi it was all the way off the gauge. Before it went, I was running 12-15 daily on it and it handled just fine. I've got a stock block with 168k and the motor is still strong with 190 compression across the board. I'm getting ready to do a 14b swap, I'll run the same amount of boost. It should be fine on stock injectors and what not. I was thinking of doing a head gasket because I think it's her orig 11yr old one OMG

Boost creep. It's common to creep with free-flowing exhaust. 15psi should be about right anyways.

The 14B will be a big improvement over the T25, especially if you get some supporting mods so you can push that 14B. If it was me, I'd just leave the headgasket; it's not like replacing a headgasket is a maintenance item like replacing a timing belt.

Oh alright. What supporting mods do you suggest?
I already have: intake, 3"turbo back exhaust, greddy hard ic pipes, greddy RS bov, evo 3 exhaust manifold.

mbc should takecare of the boost creep right i got 1 but i never intalled it because i wasnt planing on boosting it until i get some support mods

This is an ambiguous question. We need more information then just PSI.

What turbo, fuel managment, conservative vs. aggressive. etc. all play on the answer.

I ran 22 psi (accidentally) for a few weeks when if first got into DSM with no damage. Others have destoryed motors on 15 psi (bigger turbo).

well i blew my 7 bolt motor 3 months ago, so i went and bought evo3 motor that came with 16g
550cc with 25k on it for $2800, but i had 14b t25 and 13g at my house just setting there so i went with the 14b for now until i get safc fuel pump 660cc, trying to do it right this time, i was runing SBR gt 12 turbo with 550 cc but my motor couldnt take it.

If your on all stock, the most I would got is 16PSI. Otherwise your risking fuel cut.
I would set it a 12 PSI on a DD.

8-12 psi is close to stock boost settings. 15-16 psi on a t25 is not going to blow your engine. AND if it does... your turbo was damaged to begin with and was probably falling apart and falling into the motor :barf:

But 16 is getting very close to maxing out the t25 and is pretty much pointless because its just blowing hot air then. The efficiency of that baby turbo is MAXED. More air flow with the same amount of fuel does nothing. Which like some of you already said... Fuel Cut. So please get a BOOST GAUGE first, THEN a Manual Boost Controller, wideband or at least a datalogger. That way you dont break anything.

450cc injectors will do just fine with a t25 or even a 14b. But the 14b has much more potential and can be pushed to its peak with 550cc or even 650cc injectors. Ive your going to upgrade injectors, you might as well just get 650-680cc to be safe. Upgrade once, its wasting money and time trying to trade up in the long run.

Boost Creep: porting your throttle body, o2 housing, and manifold should help with the boost creep since you already have a 3" exhaust. Theres plenty of already ported items being sold on the Classifieds. Just take a look and shop around.

Having an Electronic Boost Control is suppose to hinder boost creep i think. Since Im still stuck with the t25 I have yet to prove that statement. But I do know there is a peak setting and other warning features built in the Blitz Electronic Boost Controller.

Search search search. Ive gained a TON of knowledge from just reading Live Post on daily basis. Then when its nice outside, go work/clean your car

So I can run a 14b on my stock 450cc's?

Generally speaking, you'll be fine.

To truly answer the question, you need to include what your target AFR is, if you are running stock base fuel pressure, how much air you are flowing (can be affected by FMIC, piping, etc)...and on and on.

That's why there really is no answer to these types of questions. If you have a logger and a way to tune (like SAFC, MAF-T, DSMLink, etc) and know how to use them, you're car will tell you how much boost you can run and what it likes.

People should really learn to ask their logger what they can do with their car, instead of asking people on here who know nothing about the car. :)

wow thanks guys for hijacking my thread and not reading what i have posted i dont mean to be a dick but i just want to no wht the stock internals will hold with a 14 b yes i have a boost gauge its a autometer and yes i have a logger i will do all the fuel and if you want to no what fuel stuff and brand then it will be a wally 255 afpr dont no what kind fic 900's room for bigger turbo im going to do ebay exhause because a pipe is just a pipe imo and ebay intake i will prob to a punishment fmic to becuaes i think that will be enough for me my goal is 20 psi but at most 25 please dont hijack my thread guys thanks.
p.s only post if your going to help i dont want to here o you need to have a logger and boost gauge and if you dont no abuot this stuff then dont go above stock boost. i no all about turbos and all of that im not saying i no everything but i not a noob
