Manley platinum series pistons

Hi all. So I’ve been told time and time again that I should have went with a different piston and my manley platinum series pistons are too weak for my goals of 700ish. They’re 9:0.1 with the .210 wrist pin. Just posting this to see if anyone has made good power on these pistons? I called manley and they said they’re good to 1,000 crank hp. I’m sure hp isn’t relevant as cylinder pressure and things like that are. Wanted to go with the wiseco 1400hd but I kind of already have my pistons . Thoughts ? Thanks!

I run Manleys in my motors. I use the 7 bolt pistons for the 22mm wrist pin though.
I am not making 700hp but easily at 500+ and 40 lbs of boost. No issues to speak of. I have 10:1's in one motor and 9:1's in another both on H beams. The 10s are harder to run with any timing on just gasoline so they both run E85.

I have the exact same pistons that I’ll be using in my build, I’m not afraid to run them. If you look up I believe @ATEAV8 I think was his name, he made 700 plus whp on standard wisecos witch I think are like .150 wrist pins . You don’t here about wrist pins or piston failures very often, I’d be more concerned about the rod bolts and high rpms which typically come with a 700whp setup. I think you’ll be fine. Odds are something else will fail before the piston does, besides even with thicker pins you can still grenade a piston if an injector fails or your fuel pump loses voltage or something, I say run’em

I am curious. Can you tell us you been told what point on Manley piston is weak? I don't know which Manley kit you have, but a Manley kit with the upgrade .21" wrist pin should be similar to a Wiseco HD kit. So I think if your Manley kit wouldn't work for your goal, the Wiseco kit wouldn't probably work well neither.
I don't use Manley pistons myself now and this is not that simple since many factors would affect, but I have sold numerous Manley piston kits with/without .210" wrist pins over 10 years and I have never heard one complain.

Right, only 22mm wrist pin. But you can run those pistons on a 6 bolt engine by using 6 bolt 22mm small end rods.

These are the combos I run in my 6 bolts.
One runs the 7 bolt piston and is 10:1, the other is the 9:1 and runs a 6 bolt piston.

I've not run either yet, but based on the wiseco's I have run, the data on the 1400hd's I've collected, and what I think of the Manleys, I'd run the manleys.

I run Manley platinum series.10:5:1 2.4 LR in my Evo and it made 614hp 619tq on 31 psi E85.
