So first off I'll start by saying I know I could probably figure this out with enough research on here. But I have already done an extensive search on the maft system itself and didn't remember coming across this before I bought it. And I need to make a bunch of post I guess to not be a probationary member anymore. Can you run the maft with stock injectors or do you have to have larger injectors to pull that much air through? I would just like to be able to run this mod while waiting on money and the rest of my parts. Please don't bash me for a dumb question, if anything just post a link to the info. I know how some people get on these forums. Thanks for the help in advance.

Any reason why you are going away from the 2G MAF?

The guy who i bought it from used soo many boots to make the intake work with the turbo he put on it that it pushed it way against the fender and all i have room for filter wise is one of those skinny ones from autozone. So I just didn't feel like dealing with all that. So I'll just get rid of it LOL

Yep, you can use it with 450's, and probably push fuel cut off just a bit too. I would set it up for base injector size, and then pull just a very small amount of fuel out at higher loads.

You should be able to find manual for it some where.

Also keep in mind it is very sensitive to how even the air flows through the meter, meaning if you have a sharp bend in the piping right before or after it, it can affect it's readings.

Tons of guys ran these back in the day and Im sure you can find some tuning guides. A wideband would be helpful, but its not essential. Just don't go crazy turning knobs, and if the car doesn't feel right, lift, LOL.

Doesn't he need ecm link along with the maft and gm maf?

but yeah injectors dont have anything to do with the maf air... Unless you run lean.

We picked up a aluminum intake for $25...

The stock maf is unhooked now and not doing anything but being restrictive and ugly, had it in at first to get car running. Now can vent the bov if wanted.

Need to find an adapter or different air filter for intake to remove stock mas.

With maft you can basically "zero" out all the knobs and that will leave you with stock fueling. The dip switches will have separate uses delending on the revision of the box. There is also a wot tuning mode many users overlook, but I recommend a wideband not just a logger for the wot tuning.
