MAFT Pro Clarification - speed density and other options explained

According to them, no. I believe you need a laptop for logging purposes though. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) As for the wireing, I'm assuming it's the same as the Maft in that you have to lengthen all the wires to run it inside the vehicle.

1. If you already have the LM1 you only need an output cable for it which is about $7
2. You need the Pro, an air temp sensor, a 3 bar map and a Speed density harness $519
3. You will need a laptop we supply the software and a cable

With wideband tracking the A/F ratio will be constant when the meth is turned on. You can see it pull fuelin the logs. Or you can set up a secondary fuel curve for mwth with trigger wire

That a tough one, I really don't want to "sell you" I would rather you take a look and see just how advanced this item is. I blows away the AFC in adjustability, it is a full function closed loop boost controler, and you car run CLOSED LOOP wide band controlled air fuel, along with speed density. There really is nothing like it out there right now for anywhere near the money. There is a few "big guys" that have them. they are getting going now. The TTP Evo MR has one which has set a few records. If you are really serious about wanting one call me and buy one, if you are not happy I will refund your money 100% I can't do better than that.

^^^^ Sounds like a man that is standing behind his product. What do you have to lose if he is willing to refund you 100% of your money if not satisfied?

so is the wiring made to go inside the car or not... obviously it wouldn't be much of a use having it laying around in the engine bay...
 
For a 1 g or a 2 g car I would recommend that you get a 1G or 2G Speed density harness.
This harness simply plugs in to the stock MAF connector and them provides the correct connectors for the MAP and AIR temp sensors. The Pro is then spliced in inside the car very much the way you would install an AFC. The Air temp sensor needs to mounted in the uppipe somewhere closer to the throttle body and a vacuum line needs to be connected to the MAP and you are good to go.

I'm new to the tuning scene but sounds awesome. So right now, most everybody is getting it for speed density, correct? I noticed on the site you do not have a PnP wire for the translator option. Will that be something that is coming out soon? I was more interested in a MAFT, but if speed denisty is going to be where its at, I guess thats what I will need to be doing too! :D

I recently just ordered the MAFT-PRO from ExtremePSI, and it sucks... LOL just kidding.

I was very happy with the whole unit, haven't had a chance to try it, but here are some photos (poor quality but..) The only thing I dont like is how the harness plug in on top.

Have you had a chance to install/try this sucker yet? I am very interested in this product as it seems to do quite a bit. Have any info for us?
 
Unfortuneately not yet, in the process of dropping the motor back in now, but I promise to update as soon as possible.
 
Can this be used in conjuntion with DSM link for the first Gen in particular or is it not necessary? Or is it comparable in tuning ability with the DSM Link Software?? Im very interested as well
 
I'll be using DSMLink with Maftpro. Right now I'm on Maft and DSMLink. I will also be running meth injection and somewhere around 28psi on stock block.
 
Could you tell me more detaily about its possibility of timing control, does it need some additional harness for timing advance or something else, or there is possibility to tune timing with basic unit without additional devices???

Maftpro now has timing control. Timing is controlled by manipulation of the IAT values & timing can only be added (+16 degrees max) not subtracted. To use the timing control feature you'll have to order keydivers MAFTPro chip. Jeff also make the value of the highest timing map 15 degrees or lower due to the inability to decrease timing.
 
I am very interested in how this would be compatible with dsm link in a 2g.... like use it just to convert to speed density, then do all tuning with dsm link..... if that works.. i know i will be using it for sure
 
I am presently using the MAF-T with the extended harness' with the translator on the console below the radio. I would need the same to use the Pro as I am tired of splicing wires and the set-up I have now is very convenient. I do supplement it with KEYDIVER chips. Is it possible a harness could be available in the future or are the wires needed to connect to too far apart from each other to make a PnP harness not feasible? Mark

Finally ordered it today along with the speed density harness, we'll see how it goes. The more I here about this thing the better it sounds though, I think it will eventually be the new standard for fuel control and will replace the regular translator.:dsm:
 
Good luck BISHILVR. Mike is a smart guy but DSMlink is the new standard for fuel control and will be for a long time. I have the MAFT and the Scanmaster. Mike or was it BOB, well I was posting about my lack of ability with the palm and they sent me the Scanmaster, free shipping and I love it! Nice bright LED's I can read in real time. I could not tune my car without it and ny wideband helps also. Two buttons big enough to push, not like some cell phones where you need to use a pencil to puch the buttons!
Unfortunatly this MAF PRO Looks very copmplicated and that is the reason it has not become the best thing for tuning DSM's like sliced bread. I was excited when it came out until I started to read about it's function. Better price than the link also but link has a great, solid customer service program also. You can ask a question on the tech forum on full throttle and never receive a response, never. Check out some of the dates of questions guys have asked. Ancient and I like fullthrotte but they don't have the manpower to handle the questions. Too bad because this PRO seems like it has potential as I do not have a laptop and that would be great to not need one but I am not clear on that either.
I believe the PRO was hoped to be the competition for link but never got off the ground. A member on the Buschur forum was given one to test and I believe he gave it back.
Mike send me one and walk me through it and if you can get me to get ot to work then you would truly have a testimony as i just learned how to use a cell phone. I am the most computer iliterate guy on these boards. Nothing negative about any individual or full throttle said here either. I am a customer and will be for other products as well. My IC piping and 4" coldAir Inatke piping came from fullthrottle and I just recommended them just within the last 1/2 hour. just don't think the PRO will get airborn but hope I am wrong. mark
 
The big sell for me is being able to run speed density. I am sure that if I dont like this thing that I can always sell or trade it off for something else though.
