I posted this in the Ceddy mod thread but I do not think there is enough traffic there. So here is the deal
99 GSX flashed with Ceddy mod. Car runs fine and I have already tuned with the MAF on. Engine is stock with a 20g turbo. I am having a issue getting speed density working.
I am using a 4bar omnipower map sensor so I rescaled everything according to the tutorial on Ceddyslair. With the maf hooked up I log MAFcounts and SDcounts. They log as they should. My problem is when I unhook the MAF sensor SDcounts go much higher and mafcounts go to zero. The car gets very rich and runs like poo. The SD VE map is pegged out at 100% so I tried adjusting this to no avail. So here are my questions
- I have a GM iat sensor installed but not hooked up as I wanted to get the VE maps tuned in with the MAF. Is this causing some of my issue?
- What set up bits should I use for SD only vs. SD and maf for initial tuning?
- Is there a SD VE map already setup for a stock engine? This would be great to start from.
- Does anyone know the exact periphery bit to disable MDP sensor? I tried one but I think that it might have caused the car to do something unexpected.
- I tried locking the BARO and setting IPW jitter to 255. What is SD remove IPW jitter?
- When I unhook the MAF, and do not have the GM IAT sensor wired in, could this be the reason why I go rich? ie. the sensor reading 0V so it is simulating temperatures >120c which would make it dump fuel.
I know this is a lot of information so any help at all is appreciate. Thanks
