My job has recently gave me 1500 buxs credit to buy a mac. Dose any one run ecmlink on a Mac using boost camp assistant? It pretty much let’s you run windows 10 on a Mac I know a bunch of the guy on the corvette forums use it for hptuner with boot camp. Been using an old hp that’s slow to tune my dsm and z06.

The new M1 apple processors do not support boot camp yet. Needs to be an older model with the Intel processor.

If dead set on running windows, maybe see if Parallels supports windows vm’s on the M1 macs, but it might be a pain to set up the usb drivers (if your Mac even has usb type A). Even you got it working, you would need to buy parallels and a windows activation key. Why do that when dsmlink runs natively in OSX?

I’ll run ecmlink on Mac OS X wish I could run hptuners on Mac also but my old laptop will have to do

I started first with Mac, still my favorite for viewing logs but no longer used for logging.
Then tried using a 10” Win10 tablet, for in car logging, but it was just a little to big for the glovebox, works great as a general tool in the garage.
Finally, moved to the linux version running on a Pi4 in car computer for real time logging, and internet based sync to google drive. PiLink
