ECMlink ECMLink for MAC users

I just purchased a MacBook Pro and im trying to install the ECMLink client but I'm not very familiar with OS yet. Any help? I've tried downloading it using the CD and from the website as well. It downloads the program but does nothing after.

There is something you have to change in the startup mode. Something about switching it to 32 bit from 64 bit. Then it will boot up.

Of course I can't find it, now. But I think if you right-click on the icon you can being up the properties. There should be an option that says "start in 32 bit" Check that box and it should start right up for you. I'll keep looking though..

Remember to restart your mac if it didn't already re-boot after the install. Until you do that what you have downloaded won't work.

Go here. ECMTuning, Inc. and download for mac. It will start downloading and then just drag it over to your applications.

Must be nice having to buy spyware and antivirus for your PC's.

Thanks guys, I'll check these solutions out as Tom was not able to assist me with help.

Got it installed, i had to unlock the settings for the driver to be installed and then installed the application itself.
Thanks for those that helped!

This was done on a Mac with OS 10.8 for those with future problems.

I dont get it.. I installed the drivers and link on my macbook today.. I restarted my computer and all I get is the banner when I click on the application and then the program closes in a second.. am I missing something?


fixed it.. can only have the 32 bit java checked off..
