Turbo XS Blowoff Valve Type-H
HKS ver.2 SSQV Blowoff Valve
TiAL 50mm Q Blowoff Valve

I wanna know what the loudest of them all is.

I would also like sound/video clips of each one or any suggested ones.

How do you tell a fake bov ebay (i am talking about he xs one but any and all apply)knock off from a real one.

You can usually tell by price. If its a few dollars shy of retail, its usually a wholesale seller that gets them in bulk. If its like $150 less, than its probably fake. Im sure some people pass fakes off for retail price, but thats where i would look at the sellers feedback and take a risk. In all honesty if you are buying something for a car that you love so much give some money to a supporting vendor that posts here and can give you all the help you need if you do need it.

Who the hell cares how loud a BOV is? Stop being ricertastic and get one based on how efficient it is, not how loud it is.

BTW, the TurboXS's are leaky pieces of crap. Only two worth anything are a REAL HKS and a Tial. Tial if you can PROPERLY vent it.

:beatentodeath:
I dont care, of how well they flow no one measures there flow, except hks and tail and they dont even publish it.

Yeah i always here about the hks and tails being very nice but pricey.

I just want sound i am not gonna be doing more than 20 psi on the 14b until i get better injectors and a holset hx35 or 40 cant decide.

I agree with Boosted98gsx. I was going to say about the same thing but didnt want to waste my time.

But now that you mention PRICE.... Youd have to get a GM MAF and Translator anyway to vent for your precious sound.

You just want "sound" youre more than likely going to get a lot of crap. Welcome to the forum.

I have been a member on here for more than 2 years and over 1000 posts i am not a newb, i am not interested in what mods or supporting mods i need to do this. I fully under stand what needs to be done.

I am looking for the loudest nicest sounding bov, if you cant post anything to answer those 2 questions please dont post.

what kind of sound are you looking for?

A ssq vented will be a high pitched pssshhh whistle sound

and a tial will sound like a woosh with a q... quossh

I have a ssq recirculated and it sounds great, it flutters sometime at lower boost, but it sounds like a crisper 1g bov when at higher boost. Gets kind of high pitched, but not really since you have to take out the "sound maker" to put in the recirc fitting.

My buddy had a forge VTA and it was pretty nice, kind of a happy medium between the tial and hks, it was like the high pitch of the hks with the quossh/woosh of the tial.

If you want to see what they sound like, i would do a search on youtube or streetfire and see what the examples of the different ones are.

I am not sure of the 2, i wish you where closer so i could hear it.

I am not a fan of compressor surge at low boost.

I like the turbo xs personally. I run it on my M3 :thumb:

Wow it reminds me off a condom we used on one till it poped, we also did a turkey call, a bull(cow) call, but he buggle hron that you get off the little kid bikes was by far the funnest.

This Synchronic doesn't sound too bad either

Tial 50mm vs Synchronic

Whatever you do, Don't let you're friend give you a 50$ ebay blowoff valve and try to push 20psi on it.

<~~~ Tried it to see what it would do, I blew the head and all the internals out of the bov. after about 20min of beating on it.

I run an HKS SSQV recirc'd, but I ran it uncirc'd for a little bit to hear how it would sound and it was loud. My friend could hear me passing the shop about 1/8 away on the main road :p (This was on a T25 @ 15 lbs). I personally like the way the synchronic sounds, but I like my SSQV, besides it's not about the sound, it's about how well it works, and I personally don't have any complaints! ^^
