I went to the junkyard and found a 1g laser auto with a turbo in it. My friend needs a new one, and i would like to know how i can tell if its a 13b (came in auto) or if the guy upgraded it to a 14b (came in manual) is there any distinct features i can look for? it looks like a fairly new turbo to be on a 91 but i dont know. thanks.

If it has TDO5H cast into the compressor housing then it is not a 13g originally on the auto cars. If it does have TDO5H on there then it could be a 14b, 16g variant, or an 18g...ect.. A 13g will have TDO4 in the comp housing.
