The 100mm crank will drop right in but you'll need to plug or clearance your oil squirters or else the piston skirts will hit them and if you put on a bigger rod you may need to clearance the block.

Only if it needs it. It depends on if you are replacing the pistons or not. Have you taken any measurements on the block, such as oil clearances, bearing journal dimensions, piston-to-wall clearances, etc to see if its still within spec?

We cant really tell you what needs to be machined without knowing what kind of shape the block is in.

If you're getting ARP mains it's recommended that you torque plate hone the block so the cylinder walls will be perfectly round when the head is installed on the block.

I am actually trying to find a place that rents them as the shop here doesn't do enough 4g63's to invest in buying one.

Yup, most shops i run in to dont have them. Ive called about 4 to see awhile back. None had a torque plate for the 4g63. So for under 300 bucks you can have atleast a bit of security that they are getting the bore done right. And you get to own it. I will buy one if i stay interested in dsms after block takes its beating and needs bored and worked again.

Seems like all the DFW DSMers recommend Watt's Shop https://www.facebook.com/pages/Watts-Shop/139433072803037

...and I'm sure there's a machine shop in St. Louis that regularly rebuilds 4g63's, buying a torque plate is expensive if it's something you only use once or twice unless you can rent it out to other DSMers.

As for the OP, I'm sure someone that's from your neck of the woods could help you find a reputable 4g63 machine shop that has a torque plate. Just ask here in the South East region section OR get on http://www.sedsm.org/ and ask a local...

Watts is out of my league price wise for machine work. About $500 more than the shop I intend to use and $450 more than the shop I used on my last one in OH. Also, Watts doesn't own his own plate; he uses one that a local DSMer/builder purchased as that individual sent his builds to Watts for the machine work. Don't get me wrong, I have heard Watts does amazing work, but I just cant afford him. I appreciate you suggestion and willingness to help though.
