ECUflash Logging Wideband with Evoscan

Hi guys, I was reading on the Evo forums and I came across an article that explains how to log your wideband with Evoscan through the OBDII pin 8. Here is the link: Tactrix OpenPort Standalone Logging... 0-5V ADC on OP2.0 Pin 8 - evolutionm.net

I just wanted to know if any of the guys here are running this little mod? It seems like it would be a lot easier than wiring straight to the ECU or through the rear o2 sensor. I guess I also wanted to know if this would work for our cars too. Thanks!

From what it looks like it can log any 5v signal. This is good to know.

I really want to try this when I get a wideband. It really does seem so much better than cutting and splicing into the ECU. If everything goes well, I'll do a writeup of how to do it with pictures and everything

You should be able to datalog and tune with the ECU in your car.

I use it. All I do is plug my cable into the OBDII port, the other end goes to my laptop. I also plug in my LC-1 to my laptop and it logs it as well in EVOScan.

I know how to log and flash my ECU man; that's not the point of this thread. The point of this thread is to see if anyone is logging their wideband WITHOUT having to do the narrowband simulation, wiring straight to the ECU or plugging the wideband into your laptop. Did you read the thread I posted? It shows some of the Evo guys are logging their widebands through their OBDII ports. That would make it a lot easier to log your wideband when you're logging with just a microSD card and no laptop.
