EVOscan logging AEM wideband with evoscan

What pin of the ecu do i wire the wideband into? And what do i have to change in evoscan to log an accurate afr?

Best way would probably be to wire the wideband as per instructions for the rs232 connector. If your laptop has a serial port great, but if not get a serial to usb connector then just select Aem wideband on evoscan. Then you have no reason to wire anything to your ecu.

i do not have a serial port, and i log with tactrix... im just looing for info on what wire in the ecu i run the white wire from the uego to. Then, in evoscan, what values do i change.

... but it will trip a CEL.
That's the way I did it on my Evo (rear O2 sensor). I cut the wire at the harness and attached some spade connectors. When it's time to tune and log, connect the wideband feed. It trips the CEL, I finish logging, I clear it, reconnect the stock O2 wire, and drive away.
Oh yea, this way only logs raw voltage so I calculate AFR seperately when looking at my logs. I'm sure there is a way to change the formula in evoscan, but I'm not that savy.

Depending on which o2 sensor you replaced with your Wideband sensor will determine what pin in the ECU it goes. Front o2 would go to pin 76 and rear o2 would be pin 75.. Just to clarify things, anyone running a Black Box ECU in a 1G can hardwire their Wideband directly to the ECU using the Rear O2 (pin 54) for loggng and it won't cause a CEL. Sorry 2G guys, there may be a solution but since I don't currently own a 2G I haven't tried to solve for that.

Although I don’t know anything about what port to pin into I can share what I do to log my wideband. I have an AEM and bought this from MAPerformance: AEM Logging Cable

I attached the blue wire on the logging cable to the only wire not being used on the back of my wideband gauge. Attached the ground to a good chassis ground and bought a serial to usb adaptor.

It works flawlessly for me and being able to plug it into my computer at a USB port is rather convenient.

For Evoscan I go to the wideband drop down menu and all the way at the bottom select the tool that will scan COM ports, find which COM port has the serial to usb attached and then back on the wideband drop-down select the first AEM wideband (in-line 9600 I think) that has you select which COM port. Tick the COM port you identified earlier that had you serial to usb adaptor and you’re good to go.
